I doubt they could afford £2m.

Frankfurt lost 2-0 today, had 2 men sent off and Ekitike came on to replace Sasa in the second half.

Yerson glued to the bench, Guedes with some pointless minutes for Villarreal in a 0-0 draw against Cadiz today.

Weekend round-up:

Bendeguz Bolla - Servette, Swiss Super League

Played 84 minutes of a 3-1 win and got himself a goal and assist. His assist was a lovely ball floated in from the right, while his goal was a simple tap in to an open goal. Also flashed a shot just wide with his left foot earlier on.

Goal around the 1:50 mark:

Sasa Kalajdzic - Eintracht Frankfurt, Bundesliga

Played 77 minutes of a 2-0 defeat at FC Koln.

Luke Cundle and Ki-Jana Hoever - Stoke City, Championship
Cundle played the full game of a 5-0 slapping at home to Leicester, Hoever played 71 minutes. Cundle getting a fair bit of flak after this one.

Fabio Silva - Rangers, SPL
Played 76 minutes of a 3-0 win vs Livingston and got his first Rangers goal, as mentioned.

Dexter Lembikisa - Hearts, SPL
Played the full game in a 3-2 win at Dundee. Got forward early on to set up a chance that was put just wide.

Joe Young - Buxton, National League North.

Played in a 3-0 away win. Made a couple of good saves but nearly threw the clean sheet away by rushing out of goal and missing the ball - was saved by an online clearance from a defender.

On as sub:
Joe Hodge came on for the last half hour for QPR at Blackburn and helped them turn the game around, netting the winner in a 2-1 win. Guedes played the 2nd half of a goalless draw but did FA, while Podence played the last 20 minutes in a 2-0 defeat at Panathinaikos. Owen Farmer came on for Rushal in a 2-0 defeat at Scunthorpe.

Unused subs: Campbell, Lonwijk, Moulden, Mosquera, Hesketh, McLeod, Birtwistle.

No game: Chiquinho.

Early days but those Moulden and Mosquera moves look strange.

Birtwistle is playing tonight

Looked at a jambo’s forum earlier and there’s a few comments about Dexter being ripped to shreds by a highly rated (Liverpool) Dundee winger Owen Beck.
They think he’s fine going forward but needs to work on his defensive game and is more suited to a wing back role.

Pretty much a politer version of what Rotherham fans said.

Have to think that breaking into Villarreal's XI is part of the test for Yerson. Whether that's a wise gamble is another question.

I think I read somewhere Dexter started his footballing life as a 10

Watched the 2nd half of this Rangers game. Silva potentially should have scored in injury time after some good work to break free and beat a man, but dragged his shot wide when you hoped he'd hit the target at least. Had a nice little turn at one stage and some okay touches but otherwise looks like a Siguardsson (never could spell his name) level of talent. Where you'd maybe sometimes feel he had the tools to be a decent player, but just never stood out consistently enough.

Fairly busy but just no real quality and doesn't seem preemptive with his runs when he was in the box waiting on deliveries.

Siggy's problem was that he didn't care all that much about football IIRC.

A player who didn't ever want to be here. He wasn't the last

Poor lad has really only had one good season since coming here: bagged 16 for Molde in 2017.

Currently back in the Icelandic league.

Surprised he is only 32. Feels like that was a longer time ago than it apparently was as presumed he would be retired!
