On a human level that's tragic and I feel for him. As a football decision it was a bloody stupid signing and what's happened since wasn't unpredictable
Are you saying all players with previous ACL injuries are stupid signings?

No I'm saying players with this injury record are
I see your point. But without context I’m not sure it’s so black and white. Much like Neto having two big bad luck injuries and a hamstring he’s got an injury record on a par with that (at the point we signed Sasa) but rightly I can’t see people being put off by it in the summer.

Horrible.

Disaster for our summer plans as well. £18M effectively written off.

Just hope he's got good insurance.

He doesn’t get any luck, does he?

Wish him a speedy recovery, but in terms of what that means for us, as per what Lycan said, it’s £18m written off.

Terrible for him, gunna be hard to come back from that given his previous.

From a purely business perspective we'd be better if he retired and claimed the insurance, although with today's medicine it doesn't seem to happen much anymore. The Jonny style decline more likely these days

Plus another £7m or so in wages. Even if he comes back fitness wise, the kind of club that will be happy to take a risk on loan won't want to be covering much

No, the one he did for Stuttgart was the opposite knee.
