Loan Watch 2019-2020

Can someone remind me the “England’s will Norris” joke?

Jinky kept wanting him to replace Ruddy in our promotion season.

Can we recall Cav in January?

If we're going 343 he's better than Neto

Think thats harsh on Neto, thought he did ok, a good cross, a good shot blocked which went for a corner and loads of energy, imo decent for his first game back after injury.
I personally would have kept Cav in the squad, he's a good finisher

I like Neto and want him to do well

Cav has a better impact though

If 3-4-3 is an option again then we could do a lot worse than Cav back in the side.

FWIW the Fulham sth I know isn't impressed by Cav, says he's a highlights player, who is doing nothing off the ball

I thought Neto was pretty average yesterday. Not awful but didn’t have the impact we’d hoped. He’s a bit too direct. Always makes that run down the wing asking for the ball played ahead of him. Needs to try and play inside a little more and receive the ball to feet to hurt teams. Or try and get the WB to underlap more.

Whether Cav would come on and do much better I’m not sure. Possibly would have done but his ceiling is lower so you’d want to persist with the youngster.

Cav is more of a goal threat (the biggest barr Raul and Jota) but we've moved on, Neto is the future imo, I thought he was pretty good yesterday, given his age/experience, coming back from injury and the the fact he's not had much first team action. Nowhere near the finished article of course but I've seen enough to give me hope going forward.

Plus Cav didn't want to sit around and be on the bench anymore. he would still be the back up option if he stayed and Nuno won't keep unhappy players at the club

I think this is the key point. There were noises from towards the end of the Championship season before that he wasn't happy being a squad player

How about fuck off talking to people like that?

Cav scored 5 goals last season, I don't see Neto doing that

You made a trite comment about Cav. This is a player who is clearly a championship level player and Neto has hardly played for us and just come back from injury. To dismiss the young lad is bollocks.

And there are plenty of player sin the PL who have scored goals who I wouldn't have at Wolves at any point, Moussett, Calvert Lewin, Tom Cleverley and Wesley. And that's just this season.

From this weekend:

Ivan Cavaleiro - Fulham, The Championship.

Played 84 minutes of a hard-fought 0-0 at Middlesborough with his side down to ten men for the majority of the game. Probably because of this there are no attacking chances of his to note.

Will Norris - Ipswich Town, League One.

Given his first league start at Southend following the sketchy form of usual No.1. His side won 3-1. Made a good save with his feet before letting in a tap-in for which he was rooted to the spot for the cross.

Leo Bonatini - Vitoria Guimaraes,Portugues Primeira Liga

Started at Sporting Lisbon and got his first goal for the club in a 3-1 defeat. He was in the right place at the right time to tap in a loose ball. Also got in a good position for another tap-in but his team-mate inexplicably took the ball of his toe. Stayed on for the full game.

Connor Ronan - DAC Streda, Slovak Superleague

A full game in a 2-0 victory away and grabbed an assist for the second.

No game: Mir, Ennis, John, Deslandes, Graham.

Unused sub: Dadashov.

Not in squad: Bright, Giles, Diallo, Johnson, Herc, Miranda, Wang

Did I say Neto was shit? Did I dismiss Neto?

I said Cav would have more of an impact on games than Neto which is based on what I saw Cav do last season and what I've seen Neto do this season.

Its hardly bollocks like you're making out
