Loan Watch 2018-2019

Great shot at Sheff Wed. Anyone who can put the ball over from 3 inches out has mad skillz

He's crap anyway for the reasons stated, but I really lost it with him beyond that during last pre-season. We had no forwards, he should have been doing absolutely everything possible to show Nuno that he deserved to be part of the plans and he got a fair bit of gametime. His attitude was beyond rank every time he played. Like Leon at his 2005/6 worst. Fuck off with that.

Outshone by 16 year old Austin Samuels at Peterborough inside about 80 seconds.

What’s more, Pompey generally play 4231 or 433 I believe so where he’s going to play I’ve no idea. Maybe Kenny’s on a nostalgia trip and will just leave him on the bench.

Wasn't it roundily agreed that Jackett didn't even sign
or want Mason?

Remember ralling against the Mason signing from the off, terrible signing, he is like a background extra of a footballer.

25 players out on loan then.

Mason, Ronan, Hanne, Randall, Enobakhare, Collins, Deslandes, Goodliffe, Hayden, Johnson, Leak, Simpson, Graham, Batth, Stevenson, Jack Ruddy, Burgoyne, Ofosu-Ayeh, Yang, Seedorf, Wilson, Herc, Miranda, Zyro and Mir.

Were we massively overstocked squad wise? We just seem to have loads of players just doing nothing, not good enough for us or anyone else by the looks of it

There aren't many now tbf. Just EEL, Iorfa and Gladon stuck playing head tennis. The rest are kids and those who are left will be playing in the U23s. Some of the younger players we've sent out are seen purely as assets to sell on now, we need them playing football somewhere for that to happen.

A fair chunk of them are legacy deals as well, like Zyro, Iorfa, Bright, Deslandes, Graham, Batth and Mason were here before Fosun arrived, wtf we were doing extending EEL's contract to 2020 I'll never know, and so on.

I keep my Twitter followings to a select few. I don't read below club announcements or Timmy's tweets, so haven't read things first hand ,but why would anyone wish Batth anything other than the best of luck? Yes he's a limited footballer, but he always gave a 100%, never rocked the boat publicly and has done a lot in the local and wider community. Good luck to him, the knuckledraggers abusing him now will be the same ones who sang the Brierley Hill song when he first broke into the side. Sometimes I wish the ability to use social media came with an IQ test.

Totally agreee with all that, I also refuse to read further than needs be.
People are fuckwits and when they get no likes or retweets or responses, I do wonder why they feel the need to constantly be pricks.

People feel the need to be extreme for affect and shout loudly for notice i think. Makes places like twitter not very nice, shame really as i used to really like it.

I'm so glad that I am of an age when most of this has passed me by & most days if I go out forget to take the phone with me anyway

Not on Twitter/Facebook or anything else similar - pretty sure that my life is more relaxed without them.

Yeah, but when they repeatedly go unnoticed I wonder why they keep doing it.
To be honest I don't really understand social media.

Make it 27 on loan: Dan McKenna to Telford and Paul Gladon to Sint-Truiden (same club as Duckens).

must be an age thing - never got into twitter at all.

Before the U23's like Watt, Pedro etc and ignoring EEL and Iorfa we now have a first team squad of 21 inc. 3 keepers...that's tight, but is what Nuno wanted.

You turn your back for a few hours...

Had to chuckle at the E&S's line about Ronan's 'hugely impressive' loan spell at Pompey; you mean the one where he was chronically under-used by Uncle Kenny?

OP about to be updated.

Who wrote that, and why would someone write such rubbish. It was a poor loan for various reasons which the journo could have explored.
