A few goings on from this past weekend:
Rafa Mir - Las Palmas, La Segunda División.
Let's start with a goal this week. Mir opened his account for his side with an equaliser at Zaragoza. A free-kick was swung in from deep and he met it with a firm header into the bottom corner.
Goal on 53 seconds.
Jordan Graham - Ipswich Town, The Championship
Thrown into the deep end, making his debut vs Norwich, and put straight onto taking set-pieces which is a considerable show of faith. Was perhaps rusty as he didn't have much of an impact on the game and picked up a booking for diving just before half time. Subbed with a few minutes to go.
Ben Goodliffe - Dagenham and Redbridge, National League.
An impressive 90 minutes for Goodliffe, helping his team to a clean sheet against Salford. He even managed to get into the National League 'Team of the Day'.
Aaron Hayden - Stourbridge, Evo-Stik Southern League.
Recovered from last week's horror show to help his team earn a clean sheet in a 1-0 away win.
Christian Herc - DAC 1904, Slovak Superleague
A full game in a 5-0 and added an assist to his tally. Subbed towards the end.
FC Jumilla, Segunda División B (Spanish third tier)
Deslandes, Yang and Simpson all started in a 1-1 draw, with the latter being subbed at half time. Hanne came on for second half. No mention of any of them in the match report, however.
Unused subs: Collins, Miranda, Leak.
Not in squad: Seedorf, Wilson, Randall, the transfer deadline day loanees.

A quick update from mid-week;
The two Connors, Ronan and Johnson, were handed their debuts in the Checkatrade at Burton. Ronan put in a sterling display, earning thhe MOTM award, and both were involved in the move for the second goal of a 4-0 win. Connor J was subbed towards the end.
Aaron Collins was given a chance to lead the line for Colchester but to little effect, subbed with 15 minutes to go in a 2-0 defeat.
Joe Mason was handed his first action in a while, coming on after an hour for Pompey.

German Phil made his Rostock debut today and scored.
Before you get too excited, it was in what is basically their version of the Birmingham Senior Cup (because Hansa are now in the third division, they can play in it and it counts as a first team fixture) and they won 14-0.

The team they played today are from the seventh tier, which directly equates to where Stourbridge play in England, but the German pyramid isn't anything like as deep as ours. So they're more like AFC Wulfrunians, something like that.

Made his league debut, playing the full game in a 1-1 draw at Barnsley. Described as 'working hard to make something happen in centre midfield'.

Another clean sheet for him and his team in a 1-0 win at Barrow but suffered a blow after 70 minutes when he was forced off due to injury.

On the scoresheet again with a 'bullet header' from a corner in a 2-1 away win to advance to the next preliminary round of the FA Cup.
Phil Ofosu-Ayeh - Hansa Rostock, German 3.Liga.

Retained his place in the team for a trip to Hull. Not a spectacular performance by all accounts but instigated a couple of chances, including a left-footed shot that he bent just round the post. Subbed with 5 minutes to go.
