Loan Watch 2018-2019

Ronan and Johnson to Walsall (the former until January).

I've closed Twitter for that reason. Some real cunts celebrating him going. Avoid it tonight.

Already said my piece on that on Tuesday night. Twitter being Twitter, plenty of idiots can't read (and to be fair, a lot more agreed with what I said).

My mute list will come on leaps and bounds later. It would be block, but that's an extra click that these mongs aren't worthy of.

So, who from 'group 3' is left?

Iorfa
Zyro (being linked with a Polish club but nothing confirmed yet)
Mason (looks like he has gone to Pompey, but again nothing confirmed)
Gladon
EEL

Gladon
EEL

No chance of folding those three into the main squad. I mean EEL is cack, Iorfa has a well documented attitude problem and Gladon is simply too potent a striker for a lowly Premier League club.

I hope Zyro moves but I couldn't give a toss about Mason.

Surprised Johnson has got a league one move, didn't pull up any trees 3 levels lower last season, I doubt he'll see much game time. Keates likes to play football apparently so hopefully a good move for Ronan. Like others have said I'd rather Bright had gone elsewhere, but if he can't do it up there then we know he never will. Batth and Pulis are made for each other, whether he'll start though I'm not so sure, feels like a cover signing to me.

I'd bring Iorfa in to the main squad as Doherty cover, wouldn't expect him to ever get as far as the bench though unless we have injuries.

Maybe the idea is for Bright to move to a league that he SHOULD be way too goo for in order for him to get his shooting boots honed and his confidence up.

Gladon & Mason are not going to find homes easily - EEL is Lg 1 at best

Zyro will go abroad as he got broken here, though surprised that Iorfa hasn't found somewhere - there is some talent if it can be harnessed

Pompey have confirmed Mason. Unlucky lads.

Six months which is weird, maybe he's still on American time.

His last two loans have been shit and I expect this to be the same.

A shame Iorfa hasn't found somewhere.

What’s more, Pompey generally play 4231 or 433 I believe so where he’s going to play I’ve no idea. Maybe Kenny’s on a nostalgia trip and will just leave him on the bench.

Pompey fans seem weirdly happy about signing him too. Clearly never seen him play.

There are 48 teams in Lg 1 & 2 so he can still circulate for a bit yet - can't see anyone above that level taking him though. Never quite worked out what he was as far as the football team was concerned.

Fortunately this is the last time we'll need to worry about it. This loan takes him up to the end of Feb/start of March and his contract is up at the end of the season.

I'll be most unimpressed if Ken starts using him as a #10 (which he isn't, as he creates nothing) but never once played Ronan there last season.

To be honest I think Mason could do perfectly well in league one, he still had some decent moments for us when he was actually fit. But as mentioned, why would KJ sign him when he clearly had absolutely no idea how to use him.

Really hopeful that Ronan can have a successful few months with Walsall and maybe earn himself a decent loan in the Championship after. Could be a good fit for him at this moment in time, he needs some good game time.

Good goal at Blues
Scuffed one in vs Villa

Erm...

I'm struggling after that. He can't link play, he can't lead the line, he's not fast, he's not strong, he's not big, he's not creative, he can't play wide, he doesn't work hard and his one on one finishing is possibly the worst I've ever seen from any forward playing for Wolves in the last 30 years.

Good goal vs Forest and played well in his debut vs Bolton. That really is it though.
