Loan Watch 2017-2018

Ben Marshall - Millwall, Championship.

Started at Burton and opened his account for Millwall with the only goal of the game; a scruffy first time hit from a cross which wrongfooted the keeper. Subbed on 65 minutes.

Goal at 1.15;

Dominic Iorfa - Ipswich Town, Championship.

Back in the team at Preston and seemed to play as a, dare I say it, wing-back. Certainly got forward frequently and crashed an effort off the bar in the first half. Ipswich came away with a 1-0 win.

Connor Ronan - Portsmouth, League One.

Came on as a sub after 56 minutes at home to Blackpool and didn't helpe his cause by slicing a clearance straight to the opposition for their second. Nothing much else to note as the game finished 2-0.

Michal Zyro - Charlton Athletic, League One.

On in stoppage time in a 2-0 loss at home to Shrewsbury.

Jon Flatt - Kidderminster Harriers, National League North.

Started at Darlington and was at fault for the first goal conceded, punching the ball straight to the opposition. Conceded a last-minute winner as Harriers lost 2-1.

Andrew Sealey-Harris - Farnborough FC, Evo-Stik Southern Premier League.

Quite the eventful game for ASH; grabbing a brace and setting up two others in a 4-2 win against St Ives. His first was described as him rising against much taller players to head home while the second was a tap-in.

Jack Ruddy - Ayr United, Scottish League One.

A consecutive clean sheet in a 3-0 win against Airdrieonians

Dan McKenna - Bray Wanderers, League of Ireland.

Another 90 minutes in a 2-1 loss.

Prince Oniangue - Angers SCO, Ligue 1.

A full game in a 2-1 win at Lille.

Paul Gladon - Heracles, Eredivisie.

Came on for the last few minutes in a 2-1 win.

Christian Herc - DAC, Slovak Superleague

Came on as a late sub and scored in the last minute to seal a 2-0 win, a smart finish after breaking through on the counter attack.

Goal on 27 seconds;

Unused subs; Deslandes, EEL, Stevenson, Simpson.

Not in squad; Wilson, Collins, Leak.

No game; Nazon, Mason.

Slim pickings this past weekend;

Ben Marshall - Millwall, Championship.

Started at home to Sunderland and had a strong shout for a penalty turned down after being chopped down in the box. Subbed on 81 minutes, finished 1-1.

Duckens Nazon - Oldham, League One.

Started at Scunthorpe and was pretty anonymous apart from one good chance 18 yards out which he dragged wide. Subbed on 61 minutes and Oldham went onto to win the game 2-0 without him on the pitch.

Paul Gladon - Heracles, Eredivisie.

Came on as sub for the last half an hour in a 3-0 away win. Didn't get on the scoresheet though.

Christian Herc - DAC, Slovak Superleague

Came on for the last 5 minutes in a 0-0 draw.

Unused sub; Simpson.

Not in squad; EEL, Oniangué.

Everyone else either had a postponement or no game scheduled.

A couple of appearances mid-week; Ben Marshall played 66 minutes of Millwall's 2-1 win at Hull, grabbing the assist for the second with a fine, inswinging corner. Aaron Simpson was also handed his debut on his birthday with a ten minute cameo for Kilmarnock in a 2-0 win, while Dominic Iorfa was again dropped to the bench and remained an unused sub.

I've taken Aaron Collins and Ryan Leak off the list due to their lack of squad involvement, indeed the latter has been in the last few Wolves U23 squads.

Sylvain Deslandes is making his full Pompey debut today alongside Ronan, who is back in the team.

Christian Herc, too, makes his first start in the Slovak Premier League.

Michel Zyro scores for Charlton

From this weekend;

Ben Marshall - Millwall, Championship.

In the starting line-up as Millwall extended their unbeaten run to 11 games by beating Brentford. A relatively quiet game for him though and he was subbed in the last few minutes.

Dominic Iorfa - Ipswich Town, Championship.

Back in the team at Sheffield United and posed an attacking threat again by nearly heading in a free-kick but was denied by the keeper. Was subbed at HT for Jordan Spence and the game finished goalless.

Connor Ronan and Sylvan Deslandes - Portsmouth, League One.

Started together for the first time at home to Gillingham; Deslandes as part of a back three and Ronan in the centre of midfield. The latter was on set-pieces and curled a free-kick off the post while Deslandes was subbed after 56 minutes. Pompey lost 3-1.

Duckens Nazon - Oldham Athletic, League One.

Started at Bury and used some nimble footwork to fashion a chance for himself that he just nicked wide of the post. His mazy skillz paid off a short whole later though, dribbling past two defenders to cross for Craiiiig Davies to score. Subbed on 56 minutes and the game finished 2-2.

Michal Zyro - Charlton Athletic, League One.

Came on as a sub after an hour and notched his first goal for the Addicks, a glancing header from a deep cross. Couldn't prevent Charlton from losing 4-1 however.

Goal around the 1:20 mark.

Ben Stevenson - Colchester United, League Two.

A brief cameo at the end of a 1-1 draw.

Jon Flatt - Kidderminster Harriers, National League North.

Was on the wrong side of a 1-0 at Gainsborough Trinity, not much he could do about the goal.

Aaron Simpson - Kilmarnock, SPL.

Came on late in the first half and got forward to good effect on the overlap, even managing to provide a smart assist for his side's second. Little else to note as Killie won 3-2.

Danny Armstrong - Dunfermline Athletic, Scottish Championship.

Started at runaway league leaders St Mirren and flashed an early shot wide. Subbed early into the second half in what turned out to be a 2-0 defeat.

Jack Ruddy - Ayr United, Scottish League One.

A third consecutive clean sheet for Ruddy Jr in a 3-0 win against Raith.

Dan McKenna - Bray Wanderers, League of Ireland.

A full game in a 1-0 loss at Limerick.

Prince Oniangué - Angers, Ligue Un.

Started in a 0-0 draw at Bordeaux, subbed with 5 to go.

Christian Herc - DAC, Slovak Superleague.

A full debut and a full game for Herc in a 3-0 win.

Unused subs; Wilson, Mason.

Not in squad; Sealy-Harris.

Postponed; EEL.

Didn't realise Hayden was also there. That's about his level tbf.

Yeah, that Hayden one slipped through the net.

Both added to OP.

Don't think we announced it anywhere at any point! So not your fault. I was certainly unaware until today.

From mid-week, Zyro was rewarded with a start at Blackpool and missed a golden chance, putting a close-range header over the bar; no more goals to add to his rally unfortunately. Wilson got half an hour under his belt at Barnet, flashing a shot just wide, while Ruddy Jr finally let in a goal (just the one though) at Arbroath.

Unused subs: Flatt, Simpson, Armstrong.

Not in squad: Iorfa, EEL, Johnson.

Donovan Wilson scored his first goal for Port Vale yesterday. Ben Marshall was also on the scoresheet for Millwall, as was Oniangué for Angers.

Full update coming up later.

Ben Marshall - Millwall, Championship.

Hit an absolute belter at Barnsley, picking the ball up 25 yards out and steadying himself before hitting a wicked, swerving shot into the top corner. Subbed with 20 minutes left.

Connor Ronan - Portsmouth, League One.

Started at Oldham and swung in a peach of a cross for Pompey to take the lead. Stayed on for the duration as his side went on to win 2-0. Nazon came off the bench for the
hosts for the last 10 minutes but failed to make an impact.

Michal Zyro - Charlton Athletic, League One.

Came on as a sub after an hour and couldn't make his mark on the game, blasting a shot well over as the game remained goalless.

Ethan Ebanks-Landell - MK Dons. League One.

Found himself back in the squad again and came on as a late sub in a 2-1 win over Bury.

Donovan Wilson - Port Vale, League Two.

Came on at half time at home to Stevenage and struck a fine left-footed shot to bring his side back into the game, his first for Vale. Game finished 2-2.

Aaron Collins - Newport County, League Two

The elder Collins earned himself a start at home to Luton, playing the full game and earning himself the MOTM award in the process. It also looks like he's been warming the bench the last few weeks, instead of his brother Lewis!

Aaron Hayden - Stourbridge FC, Evo-Stik Premier.

90 minutes in a 3-2 defeat at home to Ashton.

Andrew Sealy-Harris - Farnborough FC, Evo-Stik Southern Premier.

A full game in a 3-1 defeat.

Danny Armstrong - Dunfermline Athletic, Scottish Championship.

Dropped to the bench but came on with 15 minutes to go and hit the post in a 0-0 draw.

Jack Ruddy - Ayr United, Scottish League One.

Back amongst the clean sheets in a 2-0 win at Forfar.

Dan McKenna - Bray Wanderers, League of Ireland.

A full game in a 5-1 tonking at Derry.

Prince Oniangué - Angers, Ligue Un.

Started at home to Caen and opened his account for his team in a 3-0 win.

Christian Herc - DAC, Slovak Superleague.

A full game in a 2-0 defeat.

Paul Gladon - Heracles, Eredivisie.

Came on with quarter of an hour to go in a 0-0 draw.

Unused subs; Stevenson, Carnat, Simpson.

Not in squad; Iorfa.

Postponed; Flatt, Johnson.

Aaron Collins obviously reads this thread and was disgusted at being taken off the list. Must have renewed his efforts in training because he played on Saturday.

Well spotted.

For some reason, Livescore has had him down as Lewis Collins, who I've just found out is his 16 year old brother also on the books at Newport :icon_lol:
