Live Match Discussion 2016/17

Doherty-esque stuff from Dier.

1-0 Kampl, deserved goal if a bit fortunate how it got through to him.

Actually, just shite from Walker as opposed to luck.

Add to that Sissoko is $#@!, Walker keeps trying to take the world on (nearly scored doing it there) etc...

Tah is so lucky there, blatantly holding Janssen's shirt.

I don't understand the shirt holding thing. Obviously it impedes the attacker, but to hear some commentators talk about it you'd think that pulling a shirt was as bad as a full rugby tackle.

Really sloppy goal to give away there, poor from Walker and Davies.

The no scoring state is from open play I believe. In a spurs pub playing darts, most left at half time...

Dundalk giving a decent account of themselves against Zenit again, they're 1-0 down but still look happy to play the ball around, building it from the back.

It's 1-1!

Lad gets free from about half way, carries it well and keeps himself clear of 2 defenders before picking his spot beyond the keeper.

2-1 Zenit, goal wouldn't have looked out of place in the park on a Sunday morning, shit cross followed by a bit of pinball in the 6 yard box.

Dundalk hit the bar!

Another good break, man set away down the right hand channel looked to be in a bit of a nothing position but he's curled one over the keeper to the back stick only to see it ping off the bar to safety.

Southampton 1-0 down at home to Inter, pretty shit game so far.

Jenas chatting pure shit on the comms.

Van Dijk getting held by the same guy on every set piece, has a chat with the ref about it, next set piece and the same blokes holding it again, Jenas praises the fouling Inter playing because 'he's done the right thing not letting Van Dijk get across him'. Maybe he should just track the run and win the header fair and square Jermaine you cockpocket?

Saints get a penalty, harsh handball call against Perisic.

Something is kicking off while they wait to take it.

Some beardy cunt threw his elbow into McQueen's face as he jogged towards the spot, ref's showed a yellow so far, sketchy.

Handanovic saves, pretty shit pen, probably about fair given the harsh decision but Inter perhaps lucky not to see a man sent off.

Southampton look to have a bit more about them this half, couple good saves from Handanovic already.

Jay Rodriguez looks to have bulked up a bit whilst recovering from injury, think his mobility has suffered for it, looks clunky.

Sadly he's looked nothing like the same player since he came back. Shame because he was brilliant in 2013/14.

He just looks like he's trying to do too much tonight, holding onto things too long, taking an extra touch when he doesn't need to. From what I remember of him that year he was often the one on the end of things, making runs in behind and just applying the finishing touch rather than being particularly involved in creating things but now it's like he's attempting things he's just not suited to.

Van Dijk just had another skirmish in the Inter box with his old pal, this ref isn't having a great game.

Hojbjerg just making mistake after mistake, van dijk is quality and should have had a pen at least today

Didn't that Hojbjerg chap rock up with a bit of a reputation?

I've not seen him offer anything so far, been hopeless tonight with countless misplaced passes, looks proper style over substance. Should take him off for Davis.
