Absolutely terrible result and second half performance, after a promising first half where we bossed it other than Sa's brain fart.

Second half not helped by some strange passive subs from the manager (Traore for Silva??) and a 1/10 defensive performance from the captain in name only.

Sarabia and Silva were completely anonymous and left on for way too long. Only Lemina, Gomes and Cunha come out with any credit IMO. Semedo was having a good game until the ref booked him for nothing and he shyed away. Lemina MOTM.

Sasa needs to start the next game against Liverpool. Santi Bueno needs to start the next game alongside Dawson (who should be captain really). And Sarabia needs benching for someone with the potential to have more impact in this league.

We've gone from a positive start to the season to looking more and more unlikely to score as each game has gone by. Some hard questions and lots of work to do on the training pitch.

Palace are such a nothing team and we made it easy for them.

Four games in and I’m praying there are three teams worse than us.

Absolutely wank from Gazza the Great.

Lg1 manager who can fuck off.

Whatever his coaching staff say at HT is actively damaging us.

Dreadful tactics, dreadful football, can't motivate his players and is completely out of his depth.

He'll be sacked by the end of the Villa game or we'll go down.

Really poor tactics and trying to shut up shop at 1-1. Not a great look.

Really, really poor. Not least as Palace were so lame. I didn’t see the Everton game but it seems we’re going backwards. Genuinely troubling performance regardless of the outcome.

Going to be hard to defend the weird, ‘yeah, but we were bad under Lopetegui too’, but I look forward to reading it doubtless.

In reality, there’s very little between the two sides.

GoN has lost us that match with his shite tactics and being reluctant to make a switch before something has already happened.

Sasa should have been on ages before he was.

Now we have a week to stew on that defeat and a nice easy fixture against Liverpool to ease us back in after the international break. Shocking.

Better side for 55 minutes. Wobbled after their first and fell apart structurally after their second.

System needs to change at minimum, we can't play with two #8s who have to vacate the center of the pitch regularly and expose our "center backs" to literally anything.

Max was so bad today. Like, unbelievably bad. Huge faults in all three Palace goals.

Played well for 70 mins and then GON changed it and invited Palace to take us on. Up to then, we were the better team but as usual can't turn our dominance into goals. Their goals were all poor from our point of view.

You think we played with 2 x 8's?

And you think we were better for the first 55 minutes?

I honestly don't know what you watch sometimes.

A wonderful hat trick from our captain with terrific assists from Lemina and Semedo on 2 of them.

O'Neil looks out of his depth, most thought he would do, but the reinventing of history over Lopetegui on the matchday thread is really something. He set us up incorrectly away from home, game in game out, often had to make numerous subs at half time to correct it and our away record was shite, including getting done 5 and 6. He kept us up because of what he achieved at Molineux, but let's not pretend we had games under him where we looked every bit as inept as we did today

Lemina is definitely not an 8.
