Coronavirus

10 at the school I deal with, was told by them last week "we are open as usual next week" got there this morning to be asked "why have you bought children in?" Replied with "you told me to,it's business as usual"

Lockdown incoming.
This why its at 8.30....after the supermarkets are shut?

Like to see how it works... Postcode xyz goes to tesco/aldi etc on monday... Etc etc..
Can see police chasing boy racer knob heads round at night....fun times.

It’s not a press conference it’s a “my fellow Britons, some of you have been very naughty so everyone is quarantined “

I can see roadblocks to prevent those bell ends.

"because some of you acted like children, were going to treat you all like children"

To be fair, all non essential shops should have been made to shut first as a symbolic act, not just pubs or seeing John Lewis shut.

I cant see anything but an immediate lockdown purely because of the supermarket stampede.

Saw a group of 7 people jogging, just now, and had to say "C'mon guys, bit of social distancing, yeah?" The woman stopped and said "If we had coronavirus, we wouldn't be jogging, would we?"

I despair of people.

We won't be fully locked down IMO. It'll just be more types of businesses to close, and giving police powers to break up large gatherings.

I hope the broadcast is just Boris moaning that his local Morrisons looks like it has been raided...

On a more personal note
Delta officially cancelled our flights for this weekend.
Kinda knew it was coming but held off for as long as we could, they preempted us by doing the deed for us.
Guess we will see when this hopefully blows over when we'll be back.

Did they refund or are just able to rebook?

Just spoken to my 93 yr old Aunt - who is well & coping.

Fortunately she moved herself into an Abbeyfield home a year ago so whilst no visitors are being allowed in she has others in the house & can get out into the gardens. She gets meals provided though the menu is somewhat restricted now as the home is finding it difficult to source what they need for the 20 residents.

Managed to eventually complete the form to claim my refund from Ryanair for my flights.

A 20 day wait but hey ho, better than not getting anything back.

Going to have a working holiday and get a load of stuff done round the house, just hope that all my materials can still be delivered for friday

That would be terribly disappointing, surely even Boris can see by now that a sizable proportion of the population are morons and don't deserve to live in a free society

So far they have given us an e-credit
However as we don't know when we will be back (looking at Christmas now)
I'm going to see if they can give us a full refund and May be we can book at a later date
The issue with an e-credit is they give you what you paid and if we decide to come back and the flights are way more expensive we'll have to fork the difference. Crappy thing is we got decent flights and preferred seats too...
