Today's update:

Mark Kennedy: Wolves Goals

A relatively short compilation as it only contains 14 goals - but what a selection.

Has Wolves ever had a better sweet striker of the ball than Mark Kennedy ?

He signed for £2 million from Manchester City where he became an integral member of the Wolves team for five seasons from 2001/02 to 2005/06.

His most famous goal was his magnificent strike in the 6th minute of the Promotion Play Off Final against Sheffield United. A goal that will live forever in he memories of Wolves supporters.

He played 149 games for Wolves and scored 14 goals in total.

The Stockport one is the obvious standout but that Walsall one off his right foot is unreal and it's a beautiful hit away at Man City too.

I liked Kennedy a lot, got a lot of stick off our mouthbreathers for no real reason.

Never understood the stick he got - a very consistent player for us who when he scored they where usually great goals.

In the Goals of the Decade for the 2000s Kennedy had 5 of the final 20 goals selected ie 5 out of 14 goals he scored in total for Wolves which is pretty amazing.

Forgot to add - next weeks' goal compilation will be for Robbie Dennison.

There was a guy in the South Bank that properly hated him. Take your levels of hate on Doc and x1000 and you still wouldn't be close to his levels

Body language. He looked like a player that couldn't be arsed. Our fans HATE that.

Did Kennedy get much stick? Don't remember much by me at the time. Think he started to get a bit towards the end of his Wolves career, seemed to be when he started playing left back.

He did when Hoddle moved him into midfield. Collateral damage in the general sideways movement.

Robbie Dennison: Wolves Goals

Robbie Dennison would rank as one the clubs best ever free kick takers plus he had a great eye for goal with his long range shots.

He joined Wolves from local rivals West Bromwich Albion for £20,000 in March 1987.

Here, the winger found his feet and was a first choice player as the team won back to back promotions in 1987/88 and 1988/89. Dennison also won an Associate Members' Cup winners medal, scoring in the 2–0 final win over Burnley in 1988.

He scored 49 goals in 353 appearances for Wolves in which he places 23rd in appearances for the club.

Next week's compilation will feature Alex Rae.

Great stuff. Me and my lads always liked Dennison. Never had a season ticket so we were always in different parts of the ground but weirdly wherever we were, we always seem to have some cretin near us who hated him with a passion, couldn't possibly have been the same person so there were obviously a number of them. Football fans are bloody strange sometimes.

We had a Dennison hater near us in the Family Enclosure, 1993 onwards

Like proper rabid hate

I get that we all have our favourites and also the players we don't rate but it blows my mind that people can get so angry with one of their own team unless of course the individual is lazy or a twat, Dennison was never that.

Another that had a style that fans don't like. Looked languid and untrying like many before and since (Kennedy very similar, Simpson and Freedman also), but it was just a lovely technique, not lack of effort!

Agree with everything others have said. An absolute favourite (obviously), made it all look effortless, haters were everywhere.
I also assumed he was disliked just for being Irish. Didn't matter which part of Ireland you came from, or what your religion was, some of our fans were going to hate you. If George Best in his heyday had played for Wolves, some fans would have booed him throughout.

I missed pretty much most of Wolves in the 90s and I'm staggered re the attitude a number of Wolves fans had towards him that have been expressed here.

Christ haters gotta hate . . . bloody ridiculous.

Should add that there's a header in that compilation vs Reading in September 1988. My first ever game.

I am pretty sure he never ever scored another header again!
