That's fair, don't know about Silva but Lopez has always looked really good when I have seen him. Would much rather we had signed him!

Sa's beard being such a contrast to his hair colour makes him look a tad like a street fighter character, so that's a plus I suppose...

Not saying this is the case, but...International managers often pick players on reputation rather than form/ability particularly in goal. Shilton wasn't England's best for at least the last 4 years of his England career

You would never actively try to downgrade any positon to make a mere 3 million tops, they must presume this is going to be an upgrade.
