now it looks like Kenny is going and the two boys are staying (or replaced by upgrades) and we are still worrying

At last, someone at Wolves as admitted that ownership talks are ongoing.

I have to say that the longer this drags on the more concerned I get, not about the takeover itself but the things associated withe the takeover, how long will Lapoetegui wait while this goes on, are we we missing out on potential tansfer targets etc.etc. :-(

More concerned about the takeover going through than losing Lapoetegui. There are plenty of options for upgrading Jackett, so not to worried on that front. How good is Lapoetegui any way? The jury seems to be out on that one.

Obviously, the delay is seriously handicapping us in the transfer market. We may just have to accept that we may have another season at worst treading water, while we focus on the bigger picture and brighter future.

We don't even know that there is a delay though, as has been said previously these things take a long time.

Talks will have been going on for months, we have stumbled across this really by it being leaked in Spain, if it wasn't for that then we would just all be sat here bemoaning the fact that we weren't making any signings instead.

Surely if the talks were going to take some weeks yet, and hence going into the new season, free transfers like Powell would be going ahead as they are a low financial risk. The fact even they are on hold indicates that a conclusion is in sight (he says hopefully) doesn't it?
