Wolves 2-0 Man Utd: Verdict Thread

We're back to having a chance in any game now, I reckon.

We have the squad we have. Getting a tune out of Doc and Guedes is a plus, however long it lasts. And a couple of games where Sa isn't a complete fuckhead helps too.

I'd like to see R Gomes keep getting appropriate minutes, and hopefully try and ease Lima slowly in if possible

Just checking if 29 goals in 18 games is enough to lose the "they just dont score enough goals" tag, Stephen Warnock?

And while we are at it, that 18 games has seen 10 goals and 4 assists for Cunha. Only scores the odd worldie right?

dickhead
I hope people are reminding him of this nonsense every time we play.

Tonight really reminded me of the Nuno era wins against Utd.
Evening games at a cold and misty Molineux, crowd absolutely up for it, good attacking football with some lovely long passes... it's early days but I'm more impressed with how we look under Vitor than I expected to be.
Yeah but this is Wolves and we know how, historically, the players step it up when a so called big club come into town. Thought Cunha definitely stepped it up a level today.

Didn't help the final 15-20 mins he had nothing left. Thought he had done his hamstring in when chasing Antony.

He will definitely be replaced from the starting 11 in Jan*

*or sent out on loan and no one else signed.
I hope you're right.

Until this season of course, as we were all told we are teeny tiny Wolves and have next to no chance of beating a big team

I was nervous at 1-0, a legacy of 18mths of O’Neil shite I reckon but if we hadn’t got the second it would have been probably the most comfortable 1-0 victory since Lopetegui was in charge.

So.....

Is Vitor the second coming of Nuno? Have we fallen into a barrel of dicks and come out sucking a lollipop?

Just looks gangly at times, can’t sort out his feet.

No issue as a squad player, should never be a nailed on starter which he currently is

Let you know in a couple of months but the change in 1 week is pretty impressive considering he is using the same tools as the previous manager.
There was never anything wrong with the tools, just the bloke in charge thought you make pieces of wood bigger with a band saw and you chop them up with a hammer.

Still early days but he ain’t O’Neill and he ain’t Lage, I think, like Lopetegui, he’s not gonna take any shit from Shi, he’s no patsy.
We've seen this playbook before though with Lopetegui and to a lesser extent O'Neil. They do the hard yards of making the team safe from relegation and then all the rules change. Let's hope that this time Shi let's the football people do football things instead of pulling the rug.
