Wolves 2-0 Vile 🤣🤣 Verdict Thread

Think they alluded to it on Sky, McGinn doesn't have the talent of many of the others in the squad (he is a prick like a lot of them though) but Villa never look as good without him.
McGinn likes running with the ball and creates problems for defenders. He also keeps the tempo up, basically as good for Villa as Sancho is bad.

Yeah, Sancho is shite. Or at least the post-BVB version is, and has been for years.

Deceptive pace too, he's even slower than he looks.

Result more to the the fact Villa were shit than we were actually good being responsible for it. Yeah its a good result but means diddly squat other than assuring we're not the worst Premier League team ever which is basically big whoop in the grand scheme.

Also means that dancing Mourinho ass Edwards is going nowhere soon despite being a glorified Tim Sherwood style charlatan (with better teeth) at this level.

What a night, what a result! Felt great beating that lot and also Derby's low points total. Much better second half. Villa were threatening to equalise in injury time but we dealt with it and then went down the other end and scored an 'icing on the cake' 2nd.

I missed the rearranged Arsenal game as I was in Scotland so to be back for this was pleasing.

Listening to Albion fan John on the WM phone-in before the game, he predicted we'd win 1-0 then his mate who happened to be Neil Morrissey came on saying there was no chance we'd get anything as we're awful and he'd 'eat his underpants' if we beat Villa. Errr, care to come back Neil?

Was absolute limbs at the end when we scored again.

RE asked in the post match interview if it was ok if he laughed as some fans don't like him laughing - careful with the vibes Rob, fans don't like you laughing after another humiliating defeat, no.

Just back home. Well, i did enjoy that. Almost forgotten how good it can feel. Let Edwards have his fun, i don’t begrudge it. Though I increasingly can’t bear him. It had the ring of many of GONs sporadic wins in terms of the disproportionate mandate it will give him.

Was really noticeable in the ground how good the volume and atmosphere was from the Nuno songs which, coincidentally or otherwise, prefaced our good little spell. Bittersweet of course.

Why? It makes absolutely no difference in the grand scheme of things. As a football club you have to have ambition. Do Fosun have any?
You are right on both counts, but regardless, enjoy in isolation for what it is before we go back to fuming or apathy at the overall situation we find ourselves in.

As said if RE falls short of hitting 20 points then it should still be a cheerio at the end of the season.
Doing his line dance yep elated so probably lost a bit of all reality in the moment.
Even still his PPG ratio would mean he’d only pick up 23 points in a 38 game season.

Embarrassed to admit this…..I didn’t know the game was on. Woke up this morning and stumbled across the result. It obviously meant a lot to RE so let him have his moment. This is likely his biggest shot at management, it’s not always about Wolves.

Also, was the consensus when he took the job that if he got us above 20 points, with this squad, then he deserved the job next year? Looks like he might do that so we have to honour it don’t we? What did we think scraping 20 points was going to look like? Peak Nuno football?

West ham, Leeds and spurs are our next three games I think.

Don't make me think we have a chance wolves

Just need to win every game left while everyone else at the bottom replicates our form under Vitor. Seems unlikely but hope springs eternal.

Our next two games are both against Liverpool

Then Brentford West Ham Leeds

Whatever your thoughts about Rob Edward's abilities, the players (who stayed) haven't downed tools to coast the rest of the season. The difference in application between Vitor and RE is obvious, the team seem to be playing for and with each other. We don't look hopeless and don't roll over at the first sign of adversity.

Collectively, they aren't good enough to be in the Premier League but that has been apparent for months, but last night was good, even when Villa were on top there was hard work and effort and flashes of quality. J Gomes and Andre imported hard, Bellegarde tried to move forward with the ball and, for all his shithousery which irritates the he'll put of me, Mosquera isn't hiding from anyone.

It was raining last night so I decided not to go. I have never not gone because of the weather. It will continue to be like that for me for the rest of the season because this club has managed to suck the enjoyment out of supporting Wolves...but that isn't on the players or RE who are at least doing a half decent job of papering over the cracks.

It's a shame that the cracks are actually huge ravines.

Probably need to be win 9 draw 1 lose 0 to have a chance. Sad thing is the missed opportunities that have happened would probably have us in the low 20’s already and in with a chance.

I’ve paid for a ST so will continue to attend even in the rain. I’m no super fan, I moaned constantly at our toothless first half display and nothing can fully compensate for what we’ve had to endure this season but money can’t buy the feeling I had walking out of the ground yesterday. Smiling faces everywhere, people singing, it won’t make up for the repeated shambles I’ve witnessed but it was bloody wonderful.
