Welcome to Wolves Rui Patricio

Wolves have put a video of Patrico and Jimienz arriving at Compton today. Sound quality isn't great but I think the pair of them have a basic grasp of English that or backroom team are just polite and nod, smile and shake hands whenever a foreign type says hello

I have a good friend who from Portugal he speaks 7 languages including black country which is hilarious to hear. I don't find Portugese "ugly" at all tbf. As for Rafa Mir not speaking English I would say his "Wolves aye we" is as good as a native.

Is Black Country spake a language now?

Of course. And their new management team will then give Jorge his cut from Adrien Silva's deal and then all is well.

In this thread: Folk from the black country moaning about accents!!

:icon_lol:

If I'm honest I'd have an easier time understanding some of our international players than someone with a thick black country accent. People have posted clips in the past that I literally could not decipher.

When I make it across the pond to a pre-game meetup I'll need someone on standby for interpretation.

He will 100% have English lessons.

Both from a tutor and then picking up on how the local players speak and followed by not having a fucking clue what Coady is shouting at him

no substitute for immersing yourself in the native tongue.

I love regional accents, but after 38 years living in Shropshire, mine has become watered down, in fact if I try and recreate it, it comes out as an embarassing mock brummie accent, however if I've had a few beers or are excited/angry and especially when I've been with my siblings, it comes on really strong

Thats the price agreed before the previous Chairman threw his toys out of the pram & it all kicked off

E&S article in the week suggested we're confdent the payment will be less than £18m.
Anything under 20 will be good value.

Gotta hand it over to him. I didn't want him at Wolves as I didn't think he was good enough for EPL, while being a nice keeper.

He's proving me completely wrong and I'm awestruck at the quality of his performances.

He's making a big difference to how our games end up. Brilliant signing

Negotiations were stopped again.

The previous middle-man between supporters' groups and the Sporting administration was arrested and interrogated for 3 hours yesterday and, apparently, spilled the beans. The president, or the board, knew what was about to happen, were warned and did nothing.

Does this mean we may get him for nothing?

According to the news, yes. If the board knew about the threats then Sporting's case goes directly to the bin. It is based upon the club doing anything in its power to safeguard the players when faced with an unpredictable situation.

It's still one guys word against theirs though.
