Things that make you SAD thread.

I guess the fragility of life.

My Dad has battled illness since the day he arrived on this planet. Twice given up on as a kid when in hospital but the man has fight in him.

Few months back he got a chest infection that wouldn't go and last week admitted to hospital. The infection though appears to have done permanent damage to his already borked lungs.
He was allowed home today and seeing a picture of him in his chair, suddenly looking very old and frail and attached to an oxygen machine has killed me.

So sad to read this mate

I recently gave myself a trimalleolar ankle fracture and have been stuck on the same spot on the same couch day in and out. had to have surgery; can’t walk and it doesn’t feel great even just sitting here. My 19 y/o cat passed away. GON is still employed. Trump is elected. Work is insane and I can’t seem to dig myself out from the pile.

To be frank, and pardon the coarse language, but the last few weeks have been friggin crap

All things will pass t3ch.

Your ankle will heal and improve and you'll be up and about again.
Your cat had a good long life at 19 years old!
GON won't be here forever.
Neither will Trump.
As for work, if possible get yourself on the sick while you recuperate and let someone else deal with it. If not then just do the best you can, that's all you can do.

Hopefully you'll have a great Christmas and forget about it all.

Amazing what a couple of days at home can do.
Still ill, can't do much and on the oxygen machine but has got life back in his face and looks so much better. A nice end to the week.

‘Ol Dashy did indeed have a nice long run.

Speaking of ankle injuries and dead cats, every morning I sit on the couch to wake up and every morning he would immediately come sit in my lap. We were going through pictures today and this was the last one I took. A big surgery boot wasn’t going to stop him from our routine. 🥲 I miss you, bud
