There goes Julen!

Tall bugger, isn't he?

Not just next to Pod (who even my 7 year old niece towers over), just generally.

You didn't realise how tall he was? Are you Lage not Langers?

Gets it from his dad, a legendary champion stone-lifter:

A question for those who might know: It sounds to me that Lopetegui is speaking Spanish to the three Portuguese speakers at that table. Do Portuguese speakers typically understand Spanish without any issue? If so, is it likely that the Portuguese speakers will speak Spanish back to him, or will they speak Portuguese back to him?

Much easier for Portuguese speakers to understand Spanish than the other way round.

When spoken, the two languages don't sound anything like each other, though a lot of the etymology carries over when it's written down and there are some grammatical similarities.

With apologies to our Portuguese residents, it's a bloody horrible language.

They are quite similar, but he was at Porto for a while so I assume he speaks Portuguese.

Edit - DW, I really like Portuguese! Like Spanish spoken by a Russian.

Lop does look very much like he's the new chief in town.

Looks to me like he has already done A LOT of homework and prep. suggests he has a knowledge of the squad, current injuries etc.

reasons to be cautiously optimistic.

Davis looking how a student looks up to a respected teacher. Hopefully Julen gives him some tips on how he should be setting up tomorrow when they turn the camera off!
I'm sure there will be input.

Might even spot Lopetegui with an ear piece and a tactics board in the Billy Wright Upper on Saturday...

Any news if any of his entourage of coaches have been on the training ground since Wednesday?

Looking far more enthusiastic in two minutes than Bruno ever did, apart from when he was telling Sasa about the food.

Always remember Bruno's arrival, no sign of Jeff, Bruno sauntering around with his hands in his pockets or looking at his phone and looking distinctly nonplussed about the whole thing. I am hoping for a similar video of Lopetegui today but hopefully looking far more enthusiastic
