The we’ve lost again verdict thread. Liverpool 2-1 Wolves

We've replaced the viserol element from years gone by with the 'we'll support you evermore' brigade who benchmark their love of the club by refusing to criticise it. It's been evident online for a number of years with the likes of that Danks bloke, although I don't think he believes 95% of what he says.

Refusing to hold Edwards to account for performances and results is just the latest way to demonstrate that. We were going down anyway so judge him on next season, I mean the first part is true, but strikes me as very naive and I'm not sure why you'd want to spend money watching a team you have no expectation to see improve.
I agree. Getting tired of the brainwashed 'who else would come/who else would do better' brigade. I'm pretty certain that had we expanded our search criteria beyond former Jeff patsies then we could have found someone better who would come. If we just accept we're shit and totally incapable of scraping a point then why did we waste money sacking Vitor and his staff?

I still find my eye twitching when I remember those few hours where it looked like Gary O'Neill was coming back.

I just think the “get behind your team regardless” crowd are probably causing more damage than they realise.
Not standing up and questioning those running the club into the ground is accepting your fate.
Questioning the ownership doesn’t make you less of a fan.
Just because you experienced the Bhatti brothers doesn’t make your opinion more valid. That’s an argument I see a lot that because it’s not at that level of bad then it’s not so bad.
Careful what you wish for? Could it be any fucking worst than being on 2 points on the 28/12.

TT puts it well... this isn't a cult and I'm not down with Old Gold Kool-Aid... if the team, players, manager, board stinks the place out then I'm not going to sit there clapping like a performing seal.

They'll get what the deserve.

Not sure I agree with the questioning of the fans.

In isolation, we competed with Liverpool, which is a game we were always likely to lose, and have lost even when we're good. The fans saw the team do okay, give their all and, in theory, have a chance of getting a result until the last kick of the game, so that was applauded.

I obviously get why some think it shouldn't be, but the same logic would apply if we won. Like, 'why couldn't you play like that before!?' So if the players actually compete, they will get applauded.

This is prolonged pain. You're more likely to get anger in the heat of the moment. We all know what's happening, we've known for months really, so it's hard to get yourself worked up to that level of anger - even if the players try their best to put us in that position!

It will still be there at some point though. We'll lose heavily to someone shit, we could even lose to Shrewsbury and it will go from 0-100 very quickly. You just can't stay at 100 when we've got another five months of this shit.

In terms of the bigger picture, what can we do now? This isn't saying we should accept this by the way, but the big one, for many, was getting rid of Jeff Shi.

Why sack Edwards now? Maybe that's something the fans should push for if we're still as bad (which I think we will be) in March.

Fosun say they aren't selling and people are giving them a chance to see if things do actually change before going back at them.
