Wolves 1-2 Ipswich: Verdict Thread

Tbf everyone knows those are blank frames

Cunt thinks he’s “fashionable” fuck off

It's mad that Fosun have let the club collapse to this degree. They've clearly lost interest if their precious sustainable model is somehow more important than being in the premier league. It's such a blatant disregard for results that I'm starting to be more worried about being asset stripped than just being in the championship next season.

Honestly not even mad at GON anymore. He'd have been gone well before this point at any sane football club.

The trouble with the 'sustainable model' is that our approach is anything but sustainable. No investment in the infrastructure, despite the thick end of a decade playing in the prem. Relying on player trades and ticket price hykes to bridge the gap. With large sums of money swallowed up by agency fees.

Really not sure where this ends up tbh. How far will we fall.....

Oh and a chairman talking about atoms and positivity.

There is something seriously wrong within the dressing room.

Thats too many games ending like this, isolated incident points to dissapointment, Passion.

When it is near enough every game, the manager has to put a stop to it.

We are in complete dissaray, there is nothing coming from the management team.

Fosun have accepted relegation and a massive loss in revenue , and value that will bring.
They have lied to fans for the last 3 years, from the moment they let Nuno go, they are lying to us now, and treating us with contempt.

The only truthful thing they have said is "it's the most successful period in 50+ years", they are about to take us into yet another slump, and one Purely of their making.

They own the club so that gives them the ability to do that, but the club is not their's, it belongs to every fan it's our club, we will still be there when Fosun and Shi, are long gone.

Saw a few rumours last night that players were taking the piss, RAN fined 2 or 3 times for turning up late for training etc.

who's next on the scapegoat queue. first it was the 'set piece' coach, now its GON. Neither addresses the real problems we have

I'm not sure GON is exactly a scapegoat; he was first team coach and a fair target for criticism and removal after his woeful record and the recent collapse of player mentality.

If what you're trying to say is that Shi and Hobbs should be removed also, I agree with that

A symptom, but not the disease.

Fair, but I take issue with including him in the same breath as set-piece-coach-man in terms of accountability.

Still his choice to play basketball rather than football
Ah yeah, not a scapegoat, but binning him also doesn't fix the overarching issues.

Hope after the first training session under the new coaching team they all sit there and think "aaaahh so that's how you defend a set play....got it now"

Howe pretty much transformed the Newcastle team with a focus on set plays at both ends of the pitch and basically being way more organised and players knowing the teams structure much better. This was his first side and he drew 3-3 with Brentford and it's a pretty rancid team on paper. Whilst he struggled initially the improvement came when then added Burn, Wood, Trippier and Bruno Gamaires. Which is still a pretty middling side ability wise.

Darlow
Schar
Lascelles
Clark
Murphy
Shelvey
Willock
Ritchie
Saint-Maximin
Joelinton
Wilson

Subs: Fraser, Longstaff.

They spent about £90m and huge wages, we won't.

My point wasn't the spending. It was the difference a manager can make as they still have some absolutely make shift parts.

The wider point is still there. I only put that as had a feeling someone would be pedantic about a 3-3 draw whilst talking about defensive improvement.

Even with those signings the improvement was in coaching. That was my point. I personally agree with Deutsch 2cbs and a GK. I would take a GK and a single CB and still think that better defensive planning and we have a chance.

It's control as well, I've rarely if ever seen a manager approach games like Gary O'Neil. Dude, if we go 1-0 up, or get back in at 1-1, keep the ball a bit. Take the sting out of the game. But no. You carry on going gung ho and see what happens. He never, ever learned from that.

I don't like Howe and fucking hate his mahogany mate next to him, but they know how to manage a game.
