Wolves 1-2 Ipswich: Verdict Thread

It's control as well, I've rarely if ever seen a manager approach games like Gary O'Neil. Dude, if we go 1-0 up, or get back in at 1-1, keep the ball a bit. Take the sting out of the game. But no. You carry on going gung ho and see what happens. He never, ever learned from that.

I don't like Howe and fucking hate his mahogany mate next to him, but they know how to manage a game.
Didn't he try it once away v Palace and we were shit...so he gave up doing it again.

Saw a few rumours last night that players were taking the piss, RAN fined 2 or 3 times for turning up late for training etc.
This doesn't surprise me at all.
Walks into the team as 'what you gonna do? Me or Toti?' 😄
First one on the transfer list for me. Absolute arsehole. Thinks he's miles better than he is.

Wonder who manages the disciplinary issues this week? Will Rayan and Matheus be issued with “see me in my office” notes by Mr Shi?

I can accept Cunha's behaviour as he's always given his best and produced and he seems bothered. The other twat has cost us more than he's repaid on the pitch. Massively overrated.

But no manager could do anything about this glaring managerial issue in fairness.

pulling the glasses off someone's face? Being physically separated after the whistle? Bloody disgraceful, my 13 year old knows that kind of behaviour is not acceptable and he knew it when he was 5! No dignity in any of that behaviour recently, I was ashamed to be associated with the club watching them lump around the place like stroppy children. It's our club, they can move on and take jobs elsewhere, but it's in our DNA to support Wolves and that makes it so much worse as it displays a complete lack of respect to themselves, the shirt and the supporters. I would come down on them like a ton of wet shite if it was up to me.

Sometimes, the worst thing about being a football fan is supporting a football team!

Under Gon we had become a joke club and we had no bottle and nobody was worried about playing us. Vitor has brought back confidence and fight. Clubs now know that we aren't a pushover. We have got our club back.
I think for the team it's a fresh start, with fresh confidence and the first two games under the new gaffa couldn't have gone better or have been against more ideal opponents. Confidence from that counts for a lot. A couple of big set backs and we could be struggling again without some new blood. Let's hope the next few games go well.

You think a high pressure away game against our closest rivals for 18th place, who we haven't beaten away since Nuno brought us up, followed by a home game v one of the biggest clubs in world football under their new manager couldn't have been more ideal opponents?

I think I disagree with the first point. Not sure about the second, I do think we need new signings though

No manager would do any better with this squad. TM you

Looking at their recent form and league positions, and the pressure on them, yes.
Leicester are the second worst team in the league after Southampton imo. Worse than Ipswich.

Let's see how the next three fixtures go. Hopefully we can get a point or two from them and get a few new signings in.

Just see how the last three fixtures went and say you were wrong. The argument is over regardless of what happens next.
Erm, all I said was, O'Neil should be given the Southampton game and a win might increase confidence, we then followed that up with a 4-1 away win V fulham.
Then Toti 😂 and Sa 😂 and Dawson 😂 defending and Lemina, ait Nouri, Cunha losing their heads.
Not said O'Neil shouldn't have gone since. Bournemouth.
Only that 'he had to go'.
I admit I have said O'Neil was dealt a bad hand. He had some bad luck with VAR calls, the sale of Neto and the injury to Mosquera compounded by the sale of kilman and the failure to replace him.
We are where we are.
