Yeah, I didn't post it yesterday because it's cobblers and to Jinky's point do your apologising with your performance on Saturday

Notice yesterday a few players put out “let’s stick together” type posts on social media.

He'll be in the stands on Saturday, probably singing along to "your getting sack in the...next 12 months"

Lemina is an emotional guy, we all know that, been like it from the start he was a terrible choice as captain* but I won't be getting on his back, he's a likeable person and gives his all, plus a decent player on his day.

*not sure we have anyone with captain capabilities, I don't see any leaders in the squad, the coaching staff or the upper management.
Dawson is as near as we have but it seems he's past his best and in future will only play bit parts.

We've got rid of all our leaders.

Fosun don't like leaders, because leaders stand up for what they believe in and don't tend to suffer fools.

I'd argue Lage rather than Fosun purged the squad of any leaders.

Coady, Boly, Saiss etc.

Other leaders who left, left for footballing reasons, Neves, Moutinho (age) Jimenez (done)

Combined it's left a dearth of captain material.

Lage wanted Ruddy and Saiss to sign new contracts, it was Shi that said no and in the case of at least Ruddy withdrew the one which was already offered. Boly (like Jimenez) looked done and Coady didn't suit the system, although was treated poorly more by Shi and Hobbs than Lage.

As with most of our transfer business post Covid it's not the players leaving that was the issue it was the lack of those coming in.

I can't imagine Boly ever wanting to deal with the responsibility of captaincy tbh. Which I don't mean as a dig, there was just so much that he is/was hilariously uninterested in.

Is Jimenez done?

Is Jimenez done?
He looked so in May 2023 and his record matched it, suggesting it was a bad move to get rid of him is very much dealing in hindsight.
Even still he’s way past his peak that we had.

I saw the point actually. I am asking if he still done. Clearly not I would say but though not as good as his peak form for us. I felt we owed him more loyalty - Fulham gave him a chance to play again at the top level.

He wanted out, I don't blame him, but it was definitely mutual

He did have time with us post surgery, we’ve just been a car crash of a club.

No one on here to my knowledge thought he would hit the form he has to be fair. Hard not to begrudge him.
