Wolves 1-2 Ipswich: Verdict Thread

I don’t feel sorry for him, he’s paid a decent sum to do his job and he’s falling short week in week out…but he is just the current problem. The next manager will be the next problem because the players collectively just aren’t good enough. Individually, there is some ability, but no manager will make that collection of players much better. Fosun spending big in January on 5-6 players ready to step into the first 11 is the only way anyone changes the fortunes but if that should only happen with a new manager. There won’t be 6 or 7 signings, there’s no point changing manager. Were down, it just hasn’t been confirmed yet.

I don't blame him anymore, he's clearly done. The problem is the lack of action from the people above him.

I wish people would stop saying he's clearly 'done'...he's still in the dugout, still picking and 'organising' and 'motivating' the team and still leading us down the shitter. He's not the tea lady FFS.

We know Hobbs and Shi are useless too but GON has to go first.

I'm also losing patience with a large contingent of our players too, for various reasons

We are in a pretty unique situation though where the board want to sack him, I think he wants to be sacked and yet it's not happening. I can only think of Rodgers at Leicester as comparable but for different reasons.

I think you mean unique.

We’re at the point where he’s wanting the board to sack him and take the payoff, the board want him to quit so they don’t have to pay him, neither want to do it because they’ll lose face.
I’ve said before I’ll be more surprised if he goes than stays, him, Hobbs and Jeff are here for a while, Fosun aren’t going anywhere, and Jeff will leave here when Fosun sell up or he dies and only then.

If an employee is under performing it's the managers responsibility to sort it out.

People can say what they want about Sa and his errors, but Johnstone is just not good enough for this level, that was already known but it's magnified with us worse than when he was starting for Palace last season. The first goal is odd but he makes a number of poor decisions and is just too stiff and slow throughout, doesn't really get near the 2nd and just seems to make too few saves overall that actually impress.
