It’s an overinflated price but Rice offers more than Maddison for me who blows hot and cold.

Rice is just flavour of the month and way over priced, again a really good player but we'll have ro see if he realises that value.

I think Rice could play a huge role for a top team, much like Rodri at City. I can see why he's so sought after. Strong, good tackler, reads the game well and can carry the ball up the pitch really well. He probably won't get many direct assists but he'll break up a lot of opposition moves and start a lot for his own team.

They have options at centre half now with Mings, Carlos, Konsa and Torres but I don't think that it necessarily improves there starting XI.

I'd take Konsa or Carlos if they want to replace somebody. Can't see Villa keeping all 4 and Chambers.

They do seem to want to get rid of a midfielder who can also play CB.
Belgium international and will probably take a loss on the £13m they paid for him...might be worth a look...
