Agree - always though they actually did quite well with the Bale money. Got great service from some of the buys and turned £85m into £70m+ (plus Bryan Gil) when selling. It wasn't the popular media opinion though.

Similar to the 'Everton never spend any money' myth peddled for many years [and actually still ongoing, although the time I'm referring to was from mid-Moyes]. Yes they do, they just spend it badly.

Everton spend an absolutely hideous amount of money. Incredibly badly.

The taps seemed to mysteriously turn off when the oligarchs got sanctioned. Strange that.

How much do you think it would take for Spurs to accept? Or will they just accept that he probably leaves for nothing next summer
It's going to cost them £70m+ to replace him like for like unless they just go with a back up to Richarlison.

He's not going for less than £90m I would think. Limits it to Real, City, United and PSG.

United don't have that kind of money unless their takeover goes through, which doesn't appear to be any time soon.

Looks like de Gea might be going on a free. He agreed a contract on already reduced terms and United have pulled it and offered an even lower one.

He is proper rubbish these days, mind. But means they have to spend money on a replacement unless they reckon Henderson is up to it, which I doubt they do.

They can have Sa for £15m.

They should pull out the stops to get Raya, although I seriously doubt Brentford will budge from their valuation

Apparently ten Hag wants Onana (and he is good tbf). But then why not sign him a year ago when he was free...

The way that club is run is shambolic, people moan at our owners (sometimes fairly) but the Glazers are thousands of times worse on every level.

They burn a ridiculous amount of money on huge signings every season and their hit rate is at Willian Jose levels some years. Their budget used coherently should have seen them being still a proper competitor to City but they really are nowhere near.

Loftus-Cheek going to Milan. £15m or so.

They also put players on crazy wages that no-one will ever match.

I'm sure they'd love to sell all of Henderson, Maguire, Sancho, McTominay, Martial, Bailly and Fred this summer. They're all on mental wages though so no-one wants to bite even if they cut the transfer fee.

Should have gone through weeks ago, Maldini was working on the deal and then he got binned by Milan. Seems after a few weeks the club have just gone "yeah use the list Paolo had"

Few reports that Kane has agreed terms with Bayern. Looks like Ange could be getting the same Kane situation that Nuno had when he took over.

Teemu Pukki has joined Minnesota United

Ange is far more likely to let him just go as well, by the sound of it.

Just seen a clip of the Aluko interview about Rice. Surely what she is suggesting (and she says she has done it herself) isn't even legal?
