The Transfer Thread 2023/24 - Everything Not Wolves

It’s the comment about being out of position defending. He isn’t that sort of player. Very much a forward so defending isn’t what you sign him for. I think he will be brilliant for Brighton.

Brighton are good but you can't really afford a luxury player at this level, IMO. Kudus will need to improve that area of his game the same as Sako did.

Massive part of Brighton's success is the way they press. Having someone who's not able to hold position is going to make it easy to play through and result in teams running at Lewis Dunk pretty regularly.

Going for free in a year as it stands and they are skinto.

Yeah. Feels like them and Luton are fairly obvious candidates. Still not sure who I think the third team are (as long as it’s not us!!)

They could be in for a Derby level season sadly. All that effort to get promoted and the owner is completely stopping any spending. It could get very ugly indeed.

Everton have made themselves weaker so far from a fairly dire base. But they seem unflushable so someone will end up just worse than them on the last game.

I've put Forest on Sniffer's competition, them or Everton for me as it stands

Fulham, Forest, Sean Dyche's Everton, Burnley and Palace could be all down there.

Optimistically, if we keep Lop, I've got us top 10.
Yeah it’s a funny one. If Brighton and Villa struggle with the volume of games and travelling etc too, chance they might be bottom half too.

Been encouraged by how we’ve played last couple of weeks. I hope they give him Scott

I’ve seen loads of people predicting us to finish bottom. If pre season is anything to go by I think we’ll surprise a lot of people.

Edit: people in non wolves circles I should say

Just lazy stuff really, we were in relegation trouble to Easter and have sold our best player so an easy one to stick down. But we shouldn't be anywhere near under this manager.

Six years ago we weren't going up because our Portuguese lads wouldn't be able to deal with Birmingham and Millwall away in December.

I can understand people feeling we'll be down there, but 20th??

If you are an outsider easy to think we are in the shit with the manager and the FFP stuff broadcast every day via SM

Also if you casually dropped into here between pre-season games it is generally doom, gloom, wrists being cut, everyone and everything is shit....we play a game and for a few sweet calming hours it is "actually we are pretty decent, we are probably getting carried away with shit"

Slight adjustment for accuracy.

Yeah it’s really weird, I don’t think Sheff Utd’s issues are as well documented and I think people think Luton will be tough at their place even though they’ll be miles short quality wise
