The Things You Are HAPPY About Thread.

(Hmm...) Which of those photos made you think that Mark?

It was a customer I was serving at work, he was outraged that we could possibly male 30 or so cushions disappear into thin air, my blasé attitude didn't help matters. That then reminded me how much I love intentionally annoying people.

Through the Fire and Flames just came on the stereo.

My 20-month old daughter just went absolutely postal at it - she LOVED it.

Funniest and cutest thing I've seen in ages. My daughter is a rocker :icon_lol:

Just spent the day with my girlfriend. went to the cinema and saw the avengers and american pie. It was an awesome day not even my sat nav getting lost could stop me being happy right now

Lamb cooked with rosemary and garlic by me, just for once (I don't get much opportunity these days), and watching Paddy really enjoy eating it. Wonderful. :)

Very happy with this:

Can't wait to get this plugged in and fired up!

Must have missed this in my excitement to get flower pics up... Nice! A fellow pedal addict? I don't recognize most of those so I assume you're a guitarist? Is that a rondo music case? :D

I might be selling mine soon. Oh well.

I really like the last one there t3ch.

Thank you sir. :)

Young son, the Aircraft Fixer, has been offered a contract in Dublin, so he's delighted at getting out of his little flat in Luton with his shitty anti social neighbours and he's coming to Dublin.

Starts next Monday.

Great! We can do pints and see each other regularly.

Delighted is me!

Just had my toenail ripped off and I'm happy it didn't hurt as much as people said it would.

Also happy I've got a few weeks off to catch up on video games and getting ready for euros!

4 day vacation in Chicago this weekend!

Try not to miss me too much.

The fact there's no chance we will do anything of note in the Euros so will therefore have even less expectation than ever

Can't believe I missed this! Sorry dude.

Yeah, I'm a guitarist but am hoping that the Zoom G3 multifx pedal in the bottom left of the (Stagg) pedal board will curb my desire to keep buying! I'm not sure I need all the dirt pedals that I have either. My Laney amp has a really nice low gain, bluesy OD channel which I might start using instead of the AC Tone. Not sure I need the clean boost either. I might set myself up with a separate board for my acoustic using the clean boost, chorus (off the board, top right of pic) and a reverb/delay pedal. It's an endless tweaking operation and the only person who can ever tell the difference is me!

Nice collection of pedals there sir. The Mr. Freeze looks like an interesting proposition. How are you getting along with it?

Our bass player just uses a tuner and a Boss Blues Driver (rarely) so I can't even imagine what sounds you're getting out of that set up! I'm thinking 70s prog-rock?!

I have the same problem-- far more dirt than I need. It's bad when half of the board is OD/dist/fuzz. You guitarists have it a little better than we do when it comes to dialing in a little grit straight from the amp. Mine has 4 separate channels (pretty rare for bass) but I never find myself using anything but the tube-pre side with boosted mids, so goes to show you how much tone variety I really call for anyways.

The freeze I've actually not played with yet. I think the first one I bought was defective; have yet to see if the issue is resolved with the replacement. My favorite pedal is probably the purple envelope filter. Great for whacked out funk sounds, and I have what's called a "hot-hand" attachment for it. Basically I control the depth and tempo of the filter with my hand movement when the hot-hand is attached. The goal was to use the Mr. Freeze to hold the note from the bass while manipulating the sound with my hands during certain breaks in the song. I thought it would be a fun bit for the crowd.

Most of those pedals I don't actually use in a band situation-- I'm more of a fan of sounds more than a user. I do use the chorus, envelope, and flanger pretty often though. My band is only a 3-piece rock band so there's a lot of open sonic space. Using the octave/flange helps fill in the bits during a guitar solo, etc. Then again, we've been on hiatus and haven't practiced much since I finished the board-- maybe I'll find a way to work some in!

You're right though-- I could get really creative with my setup given the right situation.

Have a great time - been to Chicago once, it was awesome - easily my favourite american city so far.

Thank you sir. I'm a member of a bass forum and there are lots of chicago/midwest members. There is normally a big get together every summer and they're always a blast, so I'll be hanging out with a bunch of nerds and making use of their couches this weekend.

Looking forward to getting some cool photography done. There's an eclipse on Sunday!

This guy... He's bringing excitement back into our club.

He claims to have turned down champions league clubs to come to us... he may be lieing but he is bringing change to us.

Any reason Bolton being relegated hasn't been mentioned by anybody yet?
