The Rugby Thread

I was about to say you were been too generous paddy, but a hat trick after 29 minutes is pretty decent.

Lawes is having an amazing game, plus all the back row.

It is superb to watch, much as that pains me!!

May is finishing everything with perfection, but he is literally the underlining and emboldening on the font. The pack are electric and Farrell is running the show.

But France get one back.

France really not protecting the space behind their line - that's 3 we have by putting the ball in there

France are so fragile. The second half against us has destroyed them mentally, and the moment you got that early try the game was essentially done. All about the Cardiff games now for the title.

Bastareaud should be ashamed of himself playing international rugby in that condition.

I think Nigel Owens is right there. Ashton would possibly have over-run the ball, but the bloke had his tackle started before they even got there. Correct decision.

England should now get another 20 in this ten minutes with a man up.

France are garbage and totally mentally shot.

Cardiff will be a very different game for England, and a good test for both of us. France could lose to Italy playing like this.

Absolutely Paddy. The Ireland game was fantastic, looking forward to Wales and Scotland now.

Bring on the Cardiff game. This wasn't test rugby. This was a walkover. Wales v England will be a rather different kettle of fish, and we will find out a lot about both sides' prospects for September in Japan in that game.

Wales (particularly in Cardiff) will be a much sterner test - still think that England have enough quality to come through

England made that French team look very poor, fair enough they are away but at no point did England ever look in doubt. That was very different in the Wales game last weekend. Hopefully if England can go in with the same determination to play rugby we will see a good and possibly and England win.

I think Gatland has basically spent the last two games just about getting through just to be ready for the Cardiff games against England and Ireland. We shall see if this is great wisdom or immense folly.

It should be more about building a style and mentality for the world cup at the moment surely? It'd be nice to beat Wales and all (IIRC as England did before the last world cup for all the good that did), but it would be much better to reach the world cup final

Now now you two. You've been here long enough, you know that all talk of the 2015 World Cup is strictly prohibited.
