And then he serves up that against Chelsea where he looked like Jake Cassidy in possession and Steve Corica in challenges.

...and Derek Jefferson for wandering around not knowing where he was and desperately looking for his contact lenses. True story that from a night match in the mid 70s.

Maybe. I think I am right about a night match and there was some short video showing the poor lad looking for a lens in the grass near our box! Also, think I was on the North Bank shouting something polite like 'WTF is he doing?' Maybe 1975ish?

Definitely dark and I think it was mid-week as well. It might have been late on a dark Winter Saturday night but my memory goes more for mid-week. Yes, on timescale. Jefferson really was a donkey... later on, Eric Young reminded me of how clueless Jefferson was. Young's first ever touch in a Wolves shirt was Kevin Francis borderline hysterical.

Sure you're not thinking of Mark Williams? Both debuted in the same League Cup game vs Fulham (when they were really shit), Williams came on and let the ball run straight under his foot for a throw!

Young was terrible overall (and one of those awful "cult heroes", no it's not funny to have a dreadful player in our team, it really isn't) but don't recall a stand out horror moment from that match.
 
Yes, sure. It was definitely Young... went in to control the ball with his foot, misjudged it and hit him in the face... utterly comical.
 
Can't be more than £2-3m really

Turns out he's up in court for dangerous driving (under the influence of nitrous oxide too) in March and basically no-one, even Jeff Shi, is going to touch him until that's all sorted out. Loads of other "lifestyle" issues too.

To be honest with that kind of behaviour he's more suited to Albion and their long list of rogues.

Yeah, I had a read of The Athletic article this morning. Looks to be on the road of another “wasted talent”.
 
Webster playing a high line against Chelsea the other day was comical, for what it's worth.

He's a lot better than what we've got now though obviously.

I think Gomes is more a future prospect though so not one I am too worried about yet. Played over a 125 less games from the looks of it. Issue is I think the talk was that if Neto leaves we were signing a like for like starter unless I have not remembered what GFFH said.
