The Race to be Relegated with Wolves, 24/25 Thread

What we'll gain with having a competent manager for a whole season with VP (perhaps) we'll lose by selling Cunha.

Can see 17th again next season. Yay.

I really worry about is without Cunha. His impact this season has been as vital as it's been magical. It's been as good an individual season as I've seen tbh

It’s a really unhealthy situation for the PL if this situation continues to be normal.
Developing a situation where clubs are too good for the championship but not good enough for the PL so they’re caught in a state of purgatory.
I agree with it being unhealthy if it continues but a number of clubs have been successful in recent years. Sheffield United, Burnley and Leeds have all had good seasons in the top flight quite recently but didn’t consolidate on that success. Forest/Brighton/Villa/Bournemouth/Brentford have all proved that it is possible.

It needs a reasonable side going up and the ability to invest. Ipswich went up and have invested but haven’t spent it on enough quality. Leicester were hamstrung by FFP and could still have the book thrown at them, Southampton continued with a vanity project of the manager and they weren’t good enough to play that way at a higher standard.

This is the point if we end up with a situation at the end of next season 8/9 or 9/9 promoted clubs go back down then it’s beginning to look evident that there’s been a big quality shift between the leagues and one that looks like it’ll to big to bridge.

There's nothing to suggest Leeds will be any better than the 3 teams this season. They've got a shit manager, an average squad and financial restrictions. Leicester looked much better than Leeds do now at this point last season.

I agree Wolves/Jeff are shite.

Farke's Premier League record is absolutely laughable

In terms of what he has achieved for the club, definitely not, loads ahead of him in recent years and in the past.

But in terms of quality, i think he's right up there.

I think Cunha might be our most talismanic player given the way he has to carry the team.

Would still say Moutinho is above him, put it this way, I love Cunha but I won't be planning a special trip to where ever he plays in the future just to watch him play again.

Cunha is undoubtedly the player that stands head and shoulders above the rest of the team he's played in but Moutinho, Raul and Neves would stand out similarly in the current team. I think Cunha has the ability to go on and become world class if used correctly in the right team but at the moment too often he tries to do too much and does have a tendency to sulk and go missing like on Tuesday and against Arsenal.

I firmly believe we spent the Cunha money in January and already have tried to replace Sa with Johnstone.

"We aren't spending because we didn't want to renege on the promise made last summer to freeze season ticket prices"

Lapped up by the clubs bootlickers immediately.
