The Race to be Relegated with Wolves, 24/25 Thread

We’re in touching distance on paper but in reality our problems run very deep, unless the goals against column is reduced rapidly then we’re a certainty for the drop.
I agree, as it stands right now we are going down.

But GON will be gone soon then everything changes.

You can quote whichever post you want using the post tools.

But I'll do that for you now.

Edit - Sorted. Today's posts transferred.

It's not by design though. They spent a lot of money in the Summer, just by and large on the wrong players. It might end up being the way things go, but it's incompetence led.
Obviously Fosun want to stay in the PL and there’s been huge levels of incompetence that make that far from certain. You could also argue that some players we have signed have been selected with one eye on the Championship or maybe that’s just poor recruitment and they just look more suited to the Championship than the PL. Lima you could argue is succession planning for Semedo but Forbs and Rodrigo look Championship players. Add Bellegarde and Bueno from previous summer for good measure.

You are giving way too much credit.

There is no way they intended to spend that much on players for the championship. Being relegated would see a whole new lower spending floor presumably. Also the Larsen deal being loan to buy. They fully presumed to be in the Prem next year.

The fact Larsen is loan to buy could also point to them having one eye on relegation.

Yeah and moving it into a financial year where they were fully expecting full Prem money. There is no way they would risk the Larsen fee with an idea they felt they could be relegated. Imagine if we go down and then have to foot the £25 million for him. Regardless of how decent he has looked that's not going to be sensible, and is going to be a new record 'signing' for that level by close to £10mil over the current record.

Unless there is a relegation clause we don't know about both he and Forbs are done deals, just moving the money into the next financial year. They aren't loans with options they are with obligations
I stand corrected. 😁

So much makes no sense.

Won't sanction a decent spend in Jan restricting decent Managers

Seem to be hell bent on relegating us which will wipe £30 - £50m off our price

Yet say they are still invested in Wolverhampton Wanderers, nothing makes sense, being relegated will do nothing for the Brand

It makes perfect sense if you understand Jeff Shi doesn't give a shit about the club and won't put in any money for transfers.

We should easily make £25m back on JSL. Who know with Forbs, I imagine his pace alone will be good in the champ.
Is his loan with an obligation? I'd probably expect that he'd rather fight for a place at Ajax than stay here in the Championship.

That's why he has the job..... but, on the positive side for us he will have made his money and he will be called back to the homeland at some stage - the sooner the better!

It isnt his call. The tap was turned off by Guo
That's just speculation at this point, isn't it? We don't actually know why the spending has stopped or who stopped it (though you could certainly make a number of educated guesses).

I suspect Ajax wanted rid and won’t have allowed a loophole that might mean they don’t get their money.
