The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2017/18

Really weird timing, too late for anyone to turn it around and they will find it virtually impossible to find anyone interested for six games with a nailed on relegation to add to their CV.

He should have gone after Huddersfield. Desperate performance, loss in a must-win game against direct rivals, still 10 games to go at that point so still a very slim chance of someone producing a miracle. Instead they've let him plod on to a further four defeats for no reason and then sacked him anyway.

It will be caretaker until the summer and they will appoint then, nobody will take the job now

Some tool on the radio just said he reckons it will be Marco Silva :ursofunny: :ursofunny: :ursofunny: :ursofunny:

There’s a special on WM at 2.30pm. Might cheer up a rainy Bank Hol Monday.

They have absolutely no chance of appointing before the summer, hence why Moore has got the final games. And as a Championship club they are going to be rather less of a draw than their fans seem to think.

I sense that the next few seasons are going to be rather enjoyable.

That would be too perfect. I would be delighted but not even the Albion board are that stupid.

Just had a look at their forum, they're torn between
The Brentford manager, even though he's underachieved.
The Fulham manager,if they can sell him Albion are a big club, and Fulham don't go up
Gary megson back for 6 games and if he gets a bit of fight going and the Albion football playing way back, give it him full time.
Mick McCarthy, some think he's ok and would do a job, others say why appoint him, when we put 5 past them at molineux when he was there
Owen coyle is a no by all of them.

Odd to judge Mick's entire managerial career by one single game 6 years ago and ignore all the good things he has done at this level.

Jokanovic? Deluded!

Megson plays Megson football. They know this as well.

I wouldn't be against them appointing him.

Pearson and Shakespeare being touted as early favourites by SSN.

Not sure that they are a great gig to take on immediately

Teams don't often find it easy here after coming down (though there are exceptions) - just as likely to go straight through to the next level as we know.

There are usually structural issues to resolve (particularly if you have been in the Premier for a few years & got used to the finances there)

Needs a structured & focused approach - do they want to go for a young upcoming manager (might not hack it higher up), an unknown(ish) foreign manager (doesn't always pay off as we know) or an old stager at this level who might be able to reorganise you & get you up, but won't be able to compete with the Premier.

They may well have a difficult few years.

I'd like to see Owen Coyoe given a fresh chance and the A****n is just the right fit.

I'm not sure I dislike Albion enough to wish Owen Shorts on them. Blues and McDons, definitely.

He's an absolute arsehole and a shocking manager.

I'm hoping for an emotional return to The Hawthorns for Craig "Two Balls" Snakespeare.

I think just to bring some of the A****n fans down a peg or two they deserve the mighty Owen. (He's another reason to dislike Bolton).

I don't mind Franchise FC too much. Blues can go out of business tomorrow as they really are just a shithouse club no bigger than Kiddie Harriers.
