They’ve got Huddersfield in the cup, so they’ll probably end up winning that… Otherwide they’d have a free weekend 4th round week. But that will only be useful if the team they are playing are also knocked out

Dean Smith also thinks it's lunacy to play two games in 48 hours. Wonder how he felt when we had to play two in less than 48 hours? Fuck off Smith, just accept your relegation.
Dean Smith also played Billy Gilmour when he had a temp of 39.

Fucking hypocrite

Leeds v Villa off on 28th. Leeds are going to be miles behind like Burnley and Spurs.

The league have dropped themselves in the shit, allowing teams to not play because of covid and injuries. The rest of the season is gunna be a mess, just not enough time to fit all the games in
Should make teams play even if it means fielding u23s and u18s or forfeit the points.

Someone is going to end up like Rotherham last season playing every two days at the end of the season.

I was genuinely surprised when it became an issue last year that there was nothing in the leagues rules about unfulfilled fixtures, I've played in various sports amateur leagues that had contingency plans written in.
So I'm even more disappointed they didn't get together in the Summer to work something out and that they're just winging it again now...

Oldham at home in orange, Tranmere at home in claret. They haven’t changed colours have they?

Just wondering what the knock on effects of having to shoe horn games in as the season goes on will have on the summer and into next season, where there'll be a planned break for the World Cup and the inevitable winter wave of the next Covid variant. They need to seriously consider forfeiting instead of postponing.
They’ll get the games done. Scrapping replays opens up the midweeks and as long as there’s no more cancels then it’s only Spurs, Burnley and Watford who are more than 2 games behind and none of those are in Europe meaning midweeks will be free.

There's going to be cancellations for some some time yet aren't there? I guess it all depends on how the virus progresses, if indeed symptoms are mild, then maybe we'll just try and get on with life and treat it like 'ordinary flu' otherwise we could see weeks and weeks of games called off.
