Remains one of my favourite shirts ever:

I reckon Spurs topped that a few years after:

For an iconic kit I would almost put the yellow and green number from the shit ahead of a bloody England Womens kit. Talk about ticking a box...

"There was a lot of hype around this release before the 2019 Women's World Cup" -- was there? :icon_lol:

Always liked Netherlands 1988.

Newcastle’s takeover looking more likely to happen, would move them into a far more competitive situation.

Ashley has spent money in the last year or so, beating their record twice. It's just that they spent it badly. They are a bit like West Ham, they can throw money around and still not seem to improve. I think the biggest difference there will be the change in mentality. The fans will come back and SJP will be rocking

They should be careful what they wish for. Those backing Staveley don’t exactly have the nicest of reputations.

Ironic Crooks warning against putting shit in your mouth given the amount that has subsequently come out of his

I sometimes question how Garth Crooks actually managed to have a career as a professional footballer, he must have had no idea what was going on the entire time he was playing.

Because intelligence is such a well established feature of footballers.

I'm not expecting a detailed discussion on ethics from him, but a basic grasp of the trade that he plied as a professional would be an expectation, especially as he is now employed passing off his knowledge of the game.

That's the bit that always seems to confuse me. People think that players and pundits have a good handle on what players and the game look like despite all the evidence to the contrary.

To drop a real clang, the number of players and coaches I've met that have knowledge of the game and players are pretty slim. Some people employed by clubs and ex-players on twitter and other forms of social media genuinely have no clue about the game they've played. I can only think that they've been told to do a job and do not want to learn anything wide than that. It's not unusual in any line of work, I can't imagine many strawberry pickers wanting to know about the biology of a strawberry, how it grows and where it grows best.

Shame about the other 20 odd windows. £7m a season he's spent, net. Beating our record transfer would be impressive if the previous record breaking transfer was remarkable in todays market, but it was £17m in 2005.

You're right when you say the biggest difference will be mentality, having an abitious owner will be a welcome 180.
