Arsenal :icon_lol:

I'll be surprised if any English team makes it through.

It really could go either way with all of them. I've been quite impressed by Arsenal this year, think the new signings plus playing Sanchez up top has strengthened them hugely. Look much more solid.

And Bayern aren't exactly pulling up trees this season, they've been meh every time (well, both) times I've watched them this season. I agree with you it could go either way with all of them. Leicester will play counter attacking football and be a handful for the Spaniards and if Man City can cope with Monaco's power they'll see them off easily.

I think all the other ties bar Dortmund and Juventus are a 50/50 toss up.

If City don't improve at the back they'll be slaughtered. They'd have a field day against the lot that played on Saturday.

Agreed, if City can't or don't tighten up things they will be toast. I think Leicester could do well if they continue to bring their best form to the CL (dead rubbers aside). I predict Arsenal to be woeful as usual...

Merson has his say on Arsenal:

“If Arsenal lose Ozil and Sanchez, whoever they get to replace them won’t be as good as them…unless they get them from Barcelona and Real Madrid, and they don’t sell their players.”

That surely can't be a real quote. Someone surely would have stopped him.

Congratulations to Stourbridge on reaching the third round of the FA Cup.
Just got back - a superb night and a thoroughly deserved Glassboys victory. They had the better chances and defended superbly. The atmosphere was electric when the goal finally went in. Northampton were really poor and didn't seem to want it anywhere near as badly as Stourbridge did.

They travel to Wycombe in round 3 - a similar performance will cause them plenty of problems.

A memorable night for the town.

It was pretty one sided and thoroughly deserved. 3rd round of the FA Cup is one of the greatest dates in world football and it is some achievement for Stourbridge. The sort of night that sorely tempts me to ditch one season ticket for another.

Have to say that the best nights at football I have ha are at non league level at Woking

3 - 5 loss v Swansea in a cup replay during extra time

1 - 0 win v North Shields in some cup at a full house - think we had 8/9000 in a ground that takes 6500 max ( & one we actually needed a police presence at!)

2 - 3 loss away at Brentford sometime during the early 70's

And and the icing on the cake being the victory oevr W*** B*** - was at that, but not the next round as could not get a ticket for that

I've seen plenty more entertaining matches down the War Memorial Ground over the past few years than I have at Molineux, no question about it.

Obviously disappointed by our result at Cardiff but this more than makes up for it TBH.

All four home nations have been fined by FIFA over their armistice day commemorations.

Fined very small amounts to make it not worthwhile kicking up a fuss as well.

Typical FIFA.

Regarding the fines:

England > Scotland=Wales > N. Ireland

England and Scotland wore poppies, Wales did not but had something happening in the crowd. Why the discrepancy?

Not sure which annoys me more - the ridiculous fine from FIFA or the faux pas social media outrage about it.

Sure, it's unnecessary from FIFA but the outcry is hugely OTT.

Have the Republic of Ireland Football Association been fined for commemorating the Easter rising of 1916?
