Palace 0-1 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Come on you lot. You have to give Bournemouth credit. Their story is incredible. Eddie Howe is the best English manager statistically currently. What he has achieved is brilliant. They have no right to be as good as they are. Fair play from me. No issues. There on merit!

Patricio is magnificent, I like Ruddy but RP is a few levels above him. He is pulling off at least one world class save in every game

And Jimenez yet again with the all important pass to the scorer for our goal, becoming a habit is that!

Agree completely.

The same Bournemouth who 'cheated' to gain promotion to the PL?

I used to think that until they rocked up at Molineux on their way to the Prem. Horrible team.

Wasn't much different when I went to the away game that season either - crap stadium as well!

(Plus living down here know a number of their fans - including one arrogant git who was writing our chances off before the season. Would like to show him what a real football team is like by blowing them away when they play us).

I was pissed at them the year they went up tbf.. but two seasons later they are punching so far above their weight they deserve respect. If we get more than 3 points off them this year we will have done well. No I have to give credit where it's due

Half of that was down to a really shit ref and rvlp sending off?
Nope. Horrible team and the ref being a fuckwit didn't assist.

I hadn't see much of Bournemouth that season and the media loved them, so was genuinely looking forward to seeing them. To a man they were a horrible bunch of twats. Howe has of course done a great job and it will interesting to see if they have changed but until then....Horrible team.

We as wolves have benefited from a massive input from our new owners and a strategy that puts Mendes central to most of our dealings. And so far it's paid some dividend! But don't think for a minute 19 premier teams don't look at our legal set up as iffy. They do! It's not, it works and we live it. Bournemouth fans say similar about their own

They've got rid of chief wankstain Arter, there's a start. I can't stand him.

Found his perfect club as well

If you use the PL money well & have a decent Manager (both of which they have) then staying in this league is eminently doable with the possibility of improving and challenging nearer the top

Doesn't wipe out the season in which they got there in the first place - never known a side get so many opposition players sent off which eased their promotion.

Bournemouth are a stain on football. They can fuck off to league one as far as I am concerned.

Never said I liked them but begrudgingly I have to doff my cap I am afraid

Last week against Southampton, the referee (Attwell) was once the youngest ref to make his debut in the Premier League. This week at Palace, we had the ref who now hold that record, Michael Oliver. The difference in style, player management, and decision-making was amazing. Unlike Attwell, Oliver is calm and competent, impartial and decisive, the way a top referee should be. What a contrast!

Good post, I agree he was excellent, by far the best ref there is at the moment.
