Steve Bruce says hiI'm not exactly delighted with O'Neil, but he's got more Premier League experience than at least 4 others in the division and outlasted 'bigger' names last season that people were hyping last August *waves at Viera*
Maybe, but Del's point on run in is also highly valid. Viera had a strong chance of getting the same results Roy later did tooThey finished below us in 2021/22 but I made the point that I'd much rather have had their season than ours under Lage - significantly more goals and better football, and a good cup run. Mid-table is mid-table, ultimately finishing 10th or 14th is neither here nor there.
He got in a slump last season and didn't show any sign of turning it around, he had to go.
Let's not get carried away...1 game..0 goals...0 points.Blokes an absolute chancer. Going to take us down with zero points playing a Wimbledon-esque hoofball.
Those first three games though, like Brazil 1970 - without the goals or any wins, but just like Brazil other than that.I mean it's very early for that victory lap. There is a similar amount of points we have to Lage's "incredible" first game.
Well that’s a fair point, and I’ve been hugely disappointed with events over the last week, but in my opinion that was nonetheless a much better performance this evening compared to the slightly manic and hugely overrated first three games of Lage. I didn’t have the same optimism after any of them that, quite possibly misplaced again, I have this evening.I mean it's very early for that victory lap. There is a similar amount of points we have to Lage's "incredible" first game.
And also hope we find some cash down the back of the sofa and discover other teams to scout other than West Ham.
Yep, I mean everyone making the point that we’ve still got to score is making a good one. We also look prone to giving up chances, and have a keeper who will make his own mistakes. Incredibly we do look fun though - and that’s not an emotion I’m used to at Wolves.Yup in the same mode as you. Fairly happy but with caution.
