But he wants to (potentially) pack our team with West Ham pensioners in the current market we’re shopping in. That’s not his fault, that’s down to financial mismanagement from above. He has however identified Gomes, Lemina and Dawson. He identified Enzo and Scott (it remains to be seen how the latter does at Bournemouth). Signing Matt Doherty was even a “best we’re gonna get in this situation” deal.

Thinking about O'Neil, out of the other managers in the league, I'd only prefer O'Neil to Dyche and Heckingbottom. I don't know enough about Andoni.

It's way to early to be judging O' Neil . He has only managed one other club before at any level from what I can make out and took on what looked to be a very difficult job . He didn't just save Bournemouth from relegation on the final day , he did so with a few weeks to spare .
He's just not a big name and doesn't seem to have a very engaging personality - but so what , I just want him to help us to play to our potential and if that happens then we'll be fine .
