The Mail reckons it's lambert....

Lambert, who left his last job with Blackburn Rovers at the end of last season, impressed the Molineux outfit after he was interviewed for the vacant manager's job with sources saying he 'got the job' having initially been placed on a shortlist with Nigel Pearson and Tim Sherwood.

God!
If Lambert impressed the Wolves Interview Panel, then I have no faith at all in the them.
They were obviously deeply impressed by dear old Zenga....

I'm still holding on to the fact that this is all recycled speculation so far, seemingly based on Tim II's quote-free article about the club wanting a British manager. I'm off to Google instances in science where there is indeed smoke without fire.

From Pearson, Lambert & Sherwood (which is a totally uninspiring list), I would probably sway towards Pearson.

Shouldn't the Express and Star convey the message that the majority of the fans want NOBODY on that list and ask them to look again with a bit more research and thought.

TimII thinks the fans are being unrealistic though and need to appreciate what we are.

Don't think that'll work TBH.

Oi Jeff - can you hang off appointing Lambert as Dave from Tipton doe like 'im.

"Realism required. Wolves 17th in Champ, spent 4 of 36 years in top flight (Wigan 8). Big, ambitious club but won't have their pick of bosses"

Its up to the board to sell itself to good prospective managers added to a generous salary package based on achievements.

I'm not disagreeing with you just pointing out why the E&S aren't going to "ask them to look again"

I'd rather we just kept Edwards than got any of the three mentioned

Money talks though. "Hey, Mr foreign manager I'll give you 2 million a week if you come to Wolves."

"Where do I sign?"

When you are at the arse end of the 2nd tier it doesn't always though.

Mr Silva Fancy a shot at the Championship or hang around a week and a gig at the San Siro. San Siro pays less though.

right now, he picks the San Siro regardless of wage.

4 out of 36. God, that's a depressing stat. None of the three inspire me at all and to be honest I'd give Edwards a go to the end of the season. You can' tjudge him on one game and we're not going to make the play-offs this year so I'd be quite happy to go with Edwards' potential and see if he's the next Eddie Howe. If he's not, then fair enough, let's do the recruitment job properly, not make a quick decision on the three ugly birds left at the end of the night.

agree with most of this, is it a bit harsh to judge Edwards on 1 game ,give him half a dozen games to see if he can learn by his mistakes, his team for last sat
was just a couple of players out of what most posters thought our best side should be ,although not to sure of the system he played.
even Eddie Howe made big mistakes at the beginning of his managerial career ,but was bright enough to learn from them, and in my view, is the best young brit manager around at the moment
