Next Manager chat.

Why do we even note the bookkeeper numbers?

Jeff will make the call

Thelwell made a good call on KJ (joint effort with the Mox). So he has a pretty decent record in finding our managers.

Not sure how much truth is in it, but was told that Mendes has more say in things than people think.

Feel like Harry Potter under the sorting hat muttering "Not Slytherin, not Slytherin." Sitting here chanting, "Not Giggs, not Giggs."

Fuck me I could do the job if fans think Ince is a good appointment. He would be second only to Saunders on my never in a million fucking years list. As for this knowing the championship crap Karanka, Neil with Norwich, Flores with Watford. You could make a compelling case for bringing in coaches who havent a clue about the championship. Flores was the third manager of the season

we could do with a left sided midelfielder. Player manager with Neville? ( stirring the pot a bit there!)

Jokanovic got Watford promoted, not Flores.

I don't know - you go out for only a few hours and armageddon kicks off.

I realise that we didn't want as boring as season as last year, but ..........

Know insufficient about the foreign names being linked, but just don't want any of the failed old English names being bandied about.

Sky reporting that they believe Wolves are interested in bringing in Sam Allardyce as manager.

I don't want him, but he'd be a good three year appointment. Probably the closest you'd get to probability of promotion and consolidation. I'd much prefer somebody with an exciting brand of football, and not a fucking crook, though.

Allardyce makes sense - he's the only British candidate available who fits the criteria for what Fosun want, which is promotion as soon as possible.

Can't stand him, and think there are other candidates from elsewhere who could just as easily work, but I can understand why it would happen.

He handled "high profile" foreign players well at Bolton (Newcastle and Sunderland and even Blackburn) so wouldn't be the end of the world if he came in the short term

In fairness we could all write that story. Sam Allardyce looks set for a sensational return to football less than a month after resigning as England manager... 400 words by 6/15? No problem.

Pretty much my thoughts too. He'd do a good job even thought I don't really want him. He'd get my full support though.

I'd prefer Silva TBH.

This Bolton stuff is absolutely eons ago in footballing terms though. He was beyond shite at Newcastle and not sure Sunderland and Blackburn had anyone particularly high profile from overseas.
