Been out for the day. Much as the mistake has been rectified I'm fucking annoyed that an appointment with zero merit on paper was made in the first place and we're somewhere between 6&8 points behind where we would be with a competent manager.
I can see both sides from the Championship experience argument. It's the number of games in such a quick period of time more than anything else which takes some adjustment for a foreign coach I'd have thought. It's also a simple league to set up in if you understand it, it's why Dyche, Bruce etc do well without being tactical genius'. Solid at the back, tenacious in midfield, feed your goalscorer in a 442 if you can.
Allardyce won't come there's a Prem job with his name on at Sunderland, Albion, Stoke or whoever pushes the button first. He also wouldn't work in our structure.
Giggs managed to talk himself out of the Swansea job, so that's a no, Pearson now has too much baggage, although it would guarantee a win on Nov 5th. I'd double Rowett's money and go there. I have it on good authority he at least had an informal chat with Derby in the Summer so he's open to listening to alternative offers and he saw us destroy his team this year so knows what we are capable of. I expect us to go foreign though.
