Man Utd 1 v 1 Wolves: The Verdict Thread

For anybody interested MUTV have full coverage of the game on from 6pm tonight.

I didn't take Mourinhos comments as being disrespectful at all he was talking about the lack of intensity from his players and the fact that they should be as up for it as we were in every game, seems a fair comment to me. As for MOTM on reflection its Costa, I and many others wanted him dropped after a few games but gradually he is getting back to his old self and looks a real threat in this league.

An overall excellent performance from everyone if Traore slips the ball through to Jiminez at the end rather than shoot we could well have walked away with 3 points.

Yeah it was Costa for me as well although it was really bloody hard to pick one out of that lot again, another superb team performance. Traore will have got a right bollocking for that behind closed doors, that would have rightfully won us the game if he'd put Raul in instead of blazing it over going for glory.

Nuno. Guy actually knows how to coach a pattern of play to a Championship level team.

Not sure if this was said in jest but its actually a solid point. Yeah he's got little or no pedigree but if he finishes this season in a good position on the table, and we've already seen his body of work at a 'small' team, I'd say he deserves bigger things! "

Woah mate you aint having him

Championship level team??

Fucking hell they’re such a bunch of cunts.

Championship level team?! Ha, we'll remember that in 2 years time. We're a team on the way up and make no mistake they are a team in decline. Arrogant, plastic twats...

Any chance of a few verdicts from those who were there and bollocks to the plastic?

Really enjoyable trip to Manchester yesterday!

It's clear to see how well our team understand the roles they are asked to play and the cohesiveness of the team is superb, the complete opposite can be said of man u, they have some good players but there is no synergy.

Man u have a front 3 that is pretty poor, I don't think I'd have any of their front three over ours, lukkaku literally didn't move for 90mins and was easy to defend against.

Thought Doherty had another good game, ran into the IF space less than previous games but when he did Luke Shaw was torn between marking his man or pulling wide to cover Costa.

Thought Helder was great and probably my MOTM.

How good was Costa's pass on the byline to set up the goal?
I've watched it a good few times and it's a great piece of skill to get to the byline but even more amazing how he gets it out of his feet and into Raul in the area.

It was even more impressive given that Shaw shoved him over as he passed it.

It was superb, especially as he was taking a hit at the same time.

I think there's a very good chance that Wolves will win the Premier League before Man Utd win it again

Championship level team??

Reality is that we didn't have a Championship level team last season anyway & have strengthened since then. Most of those posting will have only been around in Sir Alex's glory years & have no understanding as to why they don't just swat teams like us off as if we were an annoying fly.

Don't get the impression that Mourinho or the team have the same blinkered view.

Mourinho's presser actually was HUGELY complimentary to us. He likes the way we play. Like I said last week, we have arrived. A nice set of fixtures coming up and we must play to our full potential in them and get a load of points on the board. We can do that, and I genuinely believe we will. Can't wait for the next game on Saturday.

Whatever fixtures are coming up I am now not scared of anyone - some will (in theory) be more difficult than others but in none should we be looking for damage limitation techniques.

We will get beaten at times, even in games that we are the better team as that happens at any level - Nuno has his philosophy of how he wants us to play & don't see him compromising that
