Man Utd 1 v 1 Wolves: The Verdict Thread

Very happy with that. Really nothing in it until the last 20, when they looked the superior side their price tag ought to warrant. A well-earned point and a result that didn't flatter us in the least.

Agree with Boly for MOTM. Barely gave Lukaku a sniff. Bennett was really good too with his blocking of shots and crosses.

Were the Renault game of the day on Skysports PL at 8:30pm

I like this guy:

'Terrible performance. Basically win 1-0 when we should be hammering these folks 4-0.'

No wonder he chose the username Hugh Jass. They won't be the only team with top four ambition we take points from away from home.

I genuinely believe sixth place is on. We are more than good enough.

Absolutely delighted, very proud and so happy with what Wolves have become. I can't stop smiling!

Moutinho's goal was a delight, great finish with some great build up work from Costa and a nice little pass from Raul. Rui Patricio once again showing his worth with some world class saves after a week off last week.

Plenty on there that are complimentary though.

Normally newly promoted teams won't look forward to going away to a top 6 team (not sure though that MU still qualify for that)

Still, given how we performed today then am excited by us appearing v MC, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham

Win lose or draw then just want to give them a scare & a fecking good game.

Nuno has his philosophy & it's clearly not going to change - start to convert the chances we create & who knows how far we can go!!

Good to see a lot of 'pundit love' for us

True enough. How Utd fans aren't lining up to have Mou sacked though I don't know. Does he put in any work with the first xi? They look utterly disjointed, have done for years.

The one thing I noted from the MU forums (apart from slagging off most of their team) was how well coached we appeared - everyone knew their job & the structure was secure at all times

We didn't take the chances we had in the first 15 mins & ran out of steam (apart from Traore who only did 15 mins anyway) towards the end, but the system was there which it didn't appear to be for them - they seemed to be merely relying on one individual moment of class to win this game

What a great away day. Fantastic performance and really good to catch up with Banjo

Can't believe how angry some of the United supporters are. I didn't think they were all that bad.

Plastics are always angry, they feel like they support the best team in the world and should beat everyone else.

Yeah, utd weren't dreadful. Just imagine what a decent coach would get out of their attacking talent though.

Worth noting, I think, that going into this season the likes of Lukaku were exactly what had me worried about Coady. I needn't have been, clearly; Conor was absolutely outstanding and when put 1-on-1 against Lukaku a couple of times he beat him outright once and slowed him enough for Boly to get back the second time.

Imperious performance from all three CBs. Coady my MOTM though, just behind *gasp* Helder Costa.

6 games in and they're already calling it a "dead season".

That's a hell of a way to be a supporter.

Coady is very smart about knowing what his limitations are. He knows if he gets drawn into a physical battle with someone like Lukaku he's going to come off second best so he lets Boly & RB5 deal with it and sweeps up the second ball.
