Loan Watch 2024/2025

Weekend round-up:

Fabio Silva played 66 minutes for Las Palmas in a 3-2 win at Valencia. He scored the second goal, a first-time finish with non-existent defending around him.

Goal on 1:35:

Hugo Bueno played 68 minutes of a 5-1 won at Go Ahead Eagles.

Nigel Lonwijk played the full game of a 3-1 win at home vs Bristol Rovers. Broke forward for the second and played the ball through the defence for the assist. Picked up a booking.

Hoever played the full game for Auxerre in a 2-1 win vs Reims.

Tyler Roberts started at Dagenham after his star performance in the cup. He played the full game but it ended up a 4-0 loss.

James Storer played for Darlo as they beat Sutton Coldfield 3-1.

On as sub: Chem Campbell came on after 56 minutes in Reading's 4-1 win vs Crawley

Unused subs: Fraser, Chiquinho, Kaleta, Lembikisa.

Not in squad: Chirewa, Hodge

88 minutes for Hugo Bueno away at Benfica in the Champions League tonight. Played really well and had Angel di Maria wrapped up all game. Seems to be getting good reviews from Feyenoord fans in general as well.

I wonder if he'll skip the come back to increase his value stage they were planning on if he carries on doing well. If there were £10m out there, that's not being knocked back if we go down

Good to see Nathan Fraser banging in the goals and getting his confidence/experience up…

Awful loan move.

Their main LB (a fan favourite apparently) is due back from a long term injury in January. I think you've got to see what happens with that first.

Only a year since teams like Newcastle and RB Leipzig were linked for £20M+ though. If he keeps playing well, holds off the challenge of the other LB, gets 5-6 more Champions League games under his belt, maybe win a cup with Feyenoord...

I've got to be honest I've never been overly impressed by Hugo Bueno but hopefully he can continue to prove me wrong. If we do somehow stay up he might be perfect for when Fosun flog Aït-Nouri.

No chance Bueno stays if we go down. He'll be flogged along with RAN.

Depends on what our ambition is post-relegation

From the Gruniad….

Hwang In-beom, the South Korean midfielder signed from Red Star Belgrade, was an outstanding performer for Feyenoord, as was Hugo Bueno, the full-back on loan from Wolves.

In-beom flattered to deceive over here, though that was some years ago now and Vancouver were a fucking mess (still are but less so on the actual pitch these days).

We were linked with him in the summer weren't we?
