Loan Watch 2018-2019

What was it, £3 million we spent on him? And he's failed at both Burton and Colorado Rapids? Frightening stuff.

What DID Ken see in him?

POWER!

Kev, not Ken.

Ken wanted him as much as he wanted Nathan Byrne ie not at all.

Probably never have to pay the full £3m although I guess Cardiff got a chuink from the add-ons when we went up even though he played no part in it.

Clear from day 1 that he wasn't a KJ signing. He was openly saying he wasn't sure where to play him from game 1

Surely Ken had the ability to say "no, I don't want him" though? Otherwise it was a guaranteed waste of money.

No, Thelwell was signing players then over Ken's head.

Just a shame we're stuck with the dross he signed and gave long contracts on high wages to

I reckon we'll pay up his contract and get rid.

Need to do the same with gladon,EEL,some of our many goalkeepers, and any that just aren't good enough for what we need

Burton liked Mason to be fair but his injuries messed that move up. I could see him going there permanently that's about his level. Was never a player that would fit in to the way we played under Kenny or Nuno.

Burton liked Mason? Not according to the STHs I know. He scored on his debut then did fuck all after that, mostly through injury. They weren't bothered at all when he went.

Burton categorically did not like Mason and Clough mainly had him as an unused or late game sub by the end. He'll leave with a nice drink and end up at someone like Bristol Rovers

Hmm different to what I heard but perhaps that was in the beginning fresh from his goal. My old boss is a Burton fan so I've been up there a few times and quite a few at the time said they liked him I guess it went downhill from there. Bad times if Burton don't want you.

Sorry Paddy wasn't thinking of your gas affinity when I said them, just picked a generic bottom half League one side which is his level now.[emoji2]

I saw him play against Man Utd in the League Cup. He played exactly like you would expect Joe Mason to play. Flitted around the edges of the game, looked lightweight, offered nothing bar the odd neat touch here and there, didn't press the opposition back four or make any useful runs and missed a one on one.

I don't want him anywhere near my doorstep thank you very much!
