Loan Watch 2017-2018

Nazon gets his Oldham debut from the bench after just 26 minutes with them already 2 down at home to Plymouth.

Made a right nuisance of himself as well. 3 or 4 shots on goal already.

Absolutely horrific error by EEL for Cov's winner yesterday. How on earth did we give him a new contract a year or so ago?

I assume with the view to sell him for 250k whilst paying him 249k over that period.

Noticed that Ronan has been put on the bench since getting a motm in his first game. Worries me that Jackett will treat him like Jacobs and just not use him

Herc to DAC (Slovak top tier) for the rest of the season.

Good luck to him. He can't have been far off a first team chance in the past two seasons, he is just unfortunate this year that we have so much quality for once in midfield plus we brought in Goncalves too for the u23s

Seems an odd destination.

We can't make clubs take our players (well, except Telford). He has a lot of potential but to date he hasn't made a single matchday squad in the league, he's not going to have a reputation. Remember we could only get Ronan a L1 loan and he's played a smattering of first team games.

He gets the chance to play some top flight football (accepting that Slovakian football isn't all that special), back home where he feels comfortable which is probably better than playing more U23 stuff if there is no other option, or going to a level that is far too low or a club that won't suit him.

Didn't realize he was Slovakian.

From the weekend:

Duckens Nazon - Oldham Athletic, League One.

Was introduced halfway through the first half with Oldham 2 down at home to Plymouth and made an immediate impression, producing a flurry of shots on goal and being a general menace. Quietened down in the second half as his side only managed to claw one goal back.

Connor Ronan - Portsmouth, League One.

Came on as a sub with 20 minutes to go as Pompey lost 1-0 to Shrewsbury at home. The decision to put him on the bench was not popular with Pompey fans.

Ethan Ebanks-Landell - MK Dons, League One.

Subbed on after 56 minutes in the cup and miscued what should have been a straightforward clearance straight to a Coventry player for the winning goal. Smooth.

Donovan Wilson - Port Vale, League Two.

Handed a start at home to Colchester but was subbed off at half time after struggling to get into the game.

Connor Johnson - AFC Telford, National League North
.

Played a full game in a 2-1 loss at Harrogate.

Jack Ruddy - Ayr United, Scottish League One.

Kept his place in the team as his side cruised to a 4-1 win at Queen's Park.

Andrew Sealy-Harris - Farnborough FC, Evo-Stik Southern Premier League.

Made his debut which turned out to be a real baptism of fire, his team on the receiving end of a 6-0 drubbing at Weymouth. He stayed on for the full game, however.

Paul Gladon - Heracles, Dutch Eredivisie

Came on at half time at FC Groningen with his side trailing 3-1. I'll presume he was the inspiration behind a second half comeback to 3-3.

Unused subs: Deslandes, Collins, Leak

Suspended: Oniangué.

Ineligible: Iorfa

Game Postponed: Zyro.

Dan Armstrong to Dunfermline.

Marshall to Millwall confirmed.

Good to see he hasn't turned into the King of KFC again. In fact he looks trimmer now then when he played for us at the Etihad.

Aaron Simpson to Kilmarnock

Shows how poor the SPL is if he gets a kick in that league

Jamie Reckord was a regular up there for a couple of years, case closed.

He's holding that in. 100%. I am the king of that since Xmas.
