Let's talk about Nuno....

'kin hell! It's like Nuno took a gag off and is singing like a bird! Glad to hear all this though. And it's actually exactly what i (and a couple of others on here) thought was wrong.

I wouldn't be surprised if they put on a performance tomorrow. They must have all sat down together and actually said to Nuno " We are not ok gaffer" Then the problems would have been hashed out as good as it could be in a day.

So sad to see Nuno questioned but in this game no-one is above being sacked. I just hope he can pull us out of this hole get a few wins and quell all this relegation talk.

So come on Wolves and lets win some bloody games. Starting tonight

Im getting a bit annoyed with the pack analogy, cause it is used solely to promote the club as a brand. Players and staff clearly has been told to use the phrase as often as possible. There is no cohesion in this team now that would warrant a pack description. And the body language of players, Podence in particular, has been terrible when a team mate has failed with a pass or dribble. As of now we depend on individual performances, as many have said before, and that is to hunt alone.
This is not the way.
Im reverting to lucky charms for tonights game and will wash my wolves flag that got stained 10 games ago. Hopes and prayers etc.

The best thing I can say about The Pack, is it's an upgrade on Wolves Ay We. Nothing worth getting bent out of shape though Villa do the same with The Pride

I always find it funny when people get annoyed by things like this. Like whenever there's a quote from Nuno about 'solutions' it gets people really irate for no reason at all (though that line up Del shared was funny).

thats just cos you Scandinavians all hate Wolf packs cos they take all yer livestock........
Seriously though, the 'pack' thing does look a bit thin currently because we're on a bad run but up till a month or so I think it was a fair analogy. If its also used as a branding exercise, I'm fine with that...its a good un

Maybe the Baggies could nurture a flock mentality.

I don't worry about it, its just fluff. We just happen to be called Wolves. (we are not at all wolfish we are more mongoosey).

Nuno talks about solutions because that's what he is looking for, it's not the sort of language I use very often but when he uses it he is just conveying his thoughts.

If we go around talking about "we are the pack, we are Wolves" we hold ourselves up for stick when beaten by lesser fighting equipped club badge residents. Especially little birds. At least when we are in the Championship there will be no shame in losing to Hull.
BTW this is a joke and Hull will have to be promoted before we're mauled by Tigers.

Tbf although his English is excellent it (of course), isn't his first language (and he's made more of an effort with it than Bielsa!). I think he's just found some terms that express what he's trying to say and he's sticking with them.

It isn't just us. Even the great champions struggle with confidence.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "Disappointed, nothing to smile about really. Tough one to take. A really tough week, two away games, two very intense games and tonight we looked really like we weren't fresh enough mentally and physically. A lot of moments where we gave the ball away too easily, in moments the boys looked tired mentally. I know they can pass the ball from A to B but it didn't happen, we made it easy for Brighton but they also did really well.

"Brighton deserved to win, no doubt about it. For me it's more important to find an explanation for why we lost this game and understand what happened here tonight. We didn't look convincing.

"Nothing good to say about it, it's over. Whatever set back we have to try and come back but we make more changes and then we have no rhythm so it's a problem. This week was hard, we lost our second home game in a row, but we can't change anything now we have to work with it."

Erm...he doesn't mention confidence once.

It is a lot of words when 'solutions within the squad' would have done

"two very intense games and tonight we looked really like we weren't fresh enough mentally and physically" Sounds to me like confidence is part of it.

I have no idea how you’ve got that. That’s a bigger leap than Neil Armstrong’s.

Being tired isn’t the same as lacking confidence. Nobody says, ‘I’ve had a tough day at work and I’m off to bed early as I’m lacking confidence’.

Fuck, i best go kick myself in the bollocks for having an opinion on that then... Not that they just lost 2 games on the bounce at home for the first time in forever. I'm sure they are dancing in the changing room after that.
You ain't the only one in the world to run a team. When people are down they get tired, they lose confidence. That is a trait of human beings. I've run my own team for a long while. Football isn't the only team thing in the universe.

Whilst I enjoyed that lovely paragraph it has absolutely nothing to do with Klopp’s words. Not opinion but his actual words.

The very fact you assumed it was confidence was wrong. You can admit that y’know, you must just be lacking in confidence tonight. ;)

More from Jurgen Klopp: "You saw what went wrong, it's more about why? The only explanation now is that we are a fatigued team, mentally more or less. That leads to not the maximum freshness in your legs. Brighton deserved to win, they played well, they did well.

"We had our moments but they deserved to win. They are a good football side. We had to defend with a lot of running, there is no formation in the world where you are always in the right place. The best way to defend against a team like that is to keep the ball yourself but we couldn't do it tonight.

"The only thing we can do is use the things that happen and learn from them. The solution is always the players. It has been a tough week and tonight it was not enough. City are flying and we have to find solutions."

“We looked mentally not fresh. They deserved to win. We wanted to play better and more convincing. We lost too many balls in promising situations. I know the boys can play pass A to B but today B did not seem reachable.

“We had a really tough week. Brighton is a football-playing team.

“We were not fresh tonight and that’s when you have to find a way. Each player can play better than they did tonight. I know them, it’s not because they didn’t want to. Something else must be the reason.

“If we make too many chances we lose rhythm. That leads to the situation where Brighton beat Liverpool and deserve it.”

Mentally not fresh. What does that mean then?
