That's good to hear; my biggest issue with him at Spurs has been how petulant he can be with his defensive work/fouls, but on further reflection I suppose that petulance matters much less when the player is wearing your own club's shirt.

He's got to be on sizable wages, though.

I can't imagine he's on near what Moutinho is for us but who knows.

Yeah i get that, but i can't imagine Wolves agreed to continue paying him what he was on as a 31 year old as a 35 year old.

I'd imagine he's on 80k, but I'm just guessing obviously!

I really hope he is our next manager, as a romantic.

Anyway, I’ve managed to sort tickets for the Burnley game which as it’s my first in a couple of years I’m pretty chuffed about (even if it is Burnley). Not overly happy with the needless 50p booking charge for me to print my ticket at home. Jeff Out!

Because as players get older their ability/performances/fitness generally drops. It'd be mad for Wolves to still have him on the same salary as when we signed him at 31. (but that doesn't mean we haven't! Mendes etc.)

On the last count Raul was our top earner at 110k with Moutinho on around 80k. This info isn't 100% just what I've been told from someone who does know the players to get this sort of info.

I doubt very many have , yet you'd swear he could play centre back all on his own with some of the comments here . He's so good apparently we wouldn't need two others or even one to play along side him - could mark two strikers by himself !

Yes but that isn’t happening. I’m sure Mata and Matic probably on less money at United as they are squad players. Moutinho isn’t a squad player, he plays more than Neves FFS.

I have no idea about Botman, but there have been plenty of quality centre halves without pace, who make up for it with their reading of the game

They tend to have somebody with pace beside them or in front of them.
