January 2022 Transfer Thread

Wages could be a problem as we would have to pay the the full amount. I wouldn't imagine a rival being willing to let him come here otherwise.

Dele Alli, Lucas Moura, Giovani Lo Celso and Bergwijn are all said to be on the chopping block at Spurs.

Interesting. Alli is a prick but if he was our prick...............

I have also been a fan of Moura for a while but I think he commands to big a fee and wages. Bergwijn? No real idea. Has looked good in flashes. I would not mind Alli or Moura on a loan deal in January.
The last position we need to strengthen is wide forwards so whilst I like Moura our needs are much greater elsewhere.

Quite agree. Needs do as needs must. A centre-back and a replacement for Mouthino imo.

Bergwijn might be ok as a No.10. But we'd have to switch to a back four first.

I'd rather have Sanches personally.

With our current squad (I’m factoring in is keeping the loanees, I think we are 3 very good/upgrades away from pushing the ‘big 6/top 6’ on a regular basis, especially if we don’t sell any of our players. We are quite a young team

(2 x CB) + CM = Top 6?

I'm not so sure. We'd need to score more goals from more areas than just Raul/Hwang.

Davinson Sanches? Not for me, not even a little.

Renato. Sorry, had moved from Spurs players at that point but wasn't clear. I meant as a CM player.

Don't need any attacking players and the Spurs lot would be too expensive to justify the risk.

Depends how you define attacking. We need a CM to score 8 goals or so a season to give us a different dimension. I don't think he's currently at the club

Dele Alli is about as interested in playing football as Bright Enobakhare. I guess there's little to lose with a loan with a very small fee, but I doubt he'll be arsed
agree with that

no to all of them, closest one is Lucas Moura for me

Not sure there’s many CMs in the world who play in a 2 and get 8 goals excluding set pieces.

Attacking CMs do though. Playing behind a front two.

I was actually thinking more 2cms and a cb as in a year - 18 month it’s unlikely moutinho will be suitable.

I think once we have a B2B mid goals from other areas is more likely with runs made etc.

I don’t mean definite too 6, definitely not but I mean a decent challenge/finishing 13th would mean a real poor season

Depends if you are looking for an 8 or a 19

Gallagher has 4 from less than half a season for a mid table side
