The January 2025 Transfer Thread

Yeah, realistically we can only solve the most pressing issues this month, with a view to staying up and continuing the process in the summer.
I admire your optimism.

But I just can't see anything other than a summer where we do the absolute bare minimum. If we even manage that.

Depends on how much influence Vitor has, I imagine.

Difficult to know what's gone on behind closed doors at this stage, whether the penny has finally dropped with Hobbs and Shi, and (if it has) whether they are allowed by Fosun to do anything about it.

History says Vitor will get the rug pulled under him like Lop, we'll just have to wait and see though?

This is the first season where we’ll properly circle the plug hole and may even fall through it.
22/23 wasn’t far off but we were comfortable with a lot of room to spare in the end.
The policy seems to be try and do it on the cheap and only invest if it’s inevitable it’s going to shit.
People on social media still stating that Fosun are good owners because they’ve not bankrupted us plus PSR has hamstrung them.
Trust me if PSR wasn’t there Fosun would’ve pulled the plug on investment anyway, PSR is just a convenient smoke screen for them to hide behind.

All paperwork signed on Agbadou and medical completed. He is waiting for his Visa and will then travel to England. All being well will be available for Brizzle
I'd be putting him straight into the team for the FA Cup, let him get used to playing with certain players.

There's a chance the future might be brighter with Fosun opening their wallets a bit more. I'll post a link in the General Wolves thread to the article about future Chinese ownership. All depends whether you believe it or not.

A few big European clubs interested too apparently, can’t see it happening if there’s a bidding war

If he wants to stay in the Prem then that's the only way we can get him.

Loan would be fine, hopefully keep us up this season and once he’s made best mates with the Portuguese speaking contingent of the squad he’ll want to stay

A permanent deal should be possible. Chelsea still need to make sales for PSR reasons. Even if they only break even on what they paid for him he's then off their amortisation bill.

Might suit Chelsea but perhaps the player wants to keep his options open.
